The next morning I got up early in order to catch a bus to the city of Kota for my subsequent train back to Jaipur. Mama walked me out and we said a brief and impersonal goodbye, and she let me take what turned out to be a terrible early morning picture of her. While waiting for the train in Kota, I got an email from Craig titled “The B Word,” which asked where I was and if I was okay. “Oh great,” I thought.
