Warm Bath I agree, Kim, that Bath is a must see place. You can see why the Romans loved it so - after spending years in cold, rainy England, they must have yearned for the warm Mediterranean climate they left behind, and the hot springs were a welcome reminder. I also enjoyed the (Palladian??) architecture in the city of Bath.
No Fear???? It appears to be a trip everyone should take...Loved seeing all the pictures of the beautiful scenery and animals....Next time, Sharon and I want to join you...love mom, Lar, and cousin Sharon and her brother Randy!!
Geez So you're in Africa and London....WELL SO WHAT! I'm in stinkin Prudhoe Bay, Alaska where it's a balmy 22 deg outside w/snow!!! YUCH!!!! I wish I was there with you guys :-(
HUGS,
Victoria Falls Victoria Falls is amazing - really beyond my expectations. We have been able to see the falls from every view point. Even walked across a very small bridge in what seemed the heaviest rain fall but It was only the mist from the falls. Such a great place to visit. Only about a 5 minute walk from our hotel where zebras and monkeys roam the grounds. I'll post some photos tonight. After so much time in the bush, I'm looking forward to London.
Hope all is going well at work and that you get a nice long vacation soon!
jealous Looks like a great trip! As a photographer I am jealous of all the neat photos. Got some great animal shots. So what are the "Big 5"? You are right, we will need to do something about the photo of the rhino by the water. Unless you have a wonderful zoom, I am not sure about how close you got to the local fauna. Victoria Falls is supposed to amazing -- one of the most beautiful in the world. Hope the rest of the trip goes as well. Get some good archietural pictures in London. I am told if you look hard enough you can find some old buildings.
Nothing about work except to say some of your favorite applicants say "hi" and that they miss you because they have no one to appeal to. I am sure you miss them.
Grrrr....right back at you girlie We are having such a great time. Can't beleive how many animals I've seen and how close we are able to get to them....within about 10 feet in most cases. Saw a baby hippo this morning - too cool.
I'll post some photos tomorrow when we get to a place that has high speed internet.
Loved Your Photos! Looks like 1st class air is the way to travel on a long flight.
South Africa looks like a very cool place to visit. Looking forward to your next blog and photos. P.S.:Holly hooked us up to your blog.
