Dear John & Steph
Thank you for the photographs and your comments. I am glad to hear you are both still well and enjoying Diving still I just hope John never loses his compass which I gave to him for his 50th especially when entering the caves!!
Kindest regards
Anne
New Year's Eve Hi, sounds like a good night - hope Steph's dancing has improved. We gate crashed a private party at the Royal Oak (a proper pub) where we met Dave White dressed as a cowboy (Claire was on holiday in Lanzarote) and suffered memory loss after 2 pints of scrumpy (a proper drink). Must have a talk soon! Love Mike and Amanda.
Love the frog. Wish they were like that here in France - but they wear shoes here My boys are just dying to come and hunt frogs now that they've seen this one chez vous. We caught a huge bull frog last week in California, but it was too noisy to smuggle back. But we did see a family of Chamois yesterday at about 2k altitude -and lloads of marmottes. Inundated with guests up here in the alps as usual. Just 2 weeks before we return to Paris although we may end up in London soon for business reasons.Much love to you both. Alaric.
Looking Good !! House looking Fab, I am sure all the hard work will be worth it.
Looking forward to the inside pictures, raining and cold here in North east England today.
Take care,
Love, Colin & Del xx

Told you so Hey Stephanie,
Its beautiful isn't it!! I am so glad that you have seen it now and being so close to your place you will get to know it real well. I hope your blog isn't too well read - we don't want to share Station with too many people. Maybe we'll see yo next time we are camping there. J
Finally a comment from Glenn Hey Guys,

hey, sorry it's taken so long to get in touch but i've been really busy with work, etc. looks like charters towers is an interesting place- i love the old buildings and the american look to the main street.
me and nola moved in together in april and things are going well. she's been busy finishing a college course and putting together a college production of Wizard of Oz so is pretty worn out. we managed to get down to penzance for the recent half term which was great (apart from some very average weather) and i really appreciate the change of pace down there from the hustle of brighton. love john and nola
Keeping up Really nice to get these updates although slightly green with envy. Reminds me of our visits to New Zealand gold rush towns. Saw Mo C_T yesterday and had a reminisce!
House building Hey guys
Looks fantastic - will love to see more pics when they are ready. And when are you open for visitors??!!
Hope all still well
love Claire and David
It's cold here! Hi guys, we're at Jackie & Roly's at the moment - just trying to acclimatise ourselves to England once again. It's been really hot weather for the past 5 weeks but we seem to have brought the cold with us!! Good to see the house taking shape & hope to see you both in the next few months.
I can't really say any more than Cris has, apart from I think we had better keep Roly away from there, as he is our very own fossil!!!
Love Jackie (and the boys)
Great! Well, I always said that John was a dirty old f****cker. Did I use too many stars there?
This looks like the kind of place that Claire and I will have to visit when we get back to Oz in June. I especially like the idea of having a virgin wash........it's been awhile!
Must get our own blog back on track! Shame on me.
Luv Cris
Thanks again! Hi Steph and John - just to say thanks again for keeping up with your blog - it really brightens ups these darker mornings to see pictures of lovely bright sunshine.
take care, and all the best
Claire and David
Time to start saving Before you left for pastures new (but old to Willie), I recall saying that David and I need to save up and experience Australia for ourselves, sounds like you'd be good guides!!
I am SO SO envious of this experience as I have always wanted to go on such a trip with an elder - maybe one day? I'm intrigued to know how you made the contact and went about it.
Great to hear your news again Hi John and Steph - many thanks for another blog as it is so interesting to hear all about your travels. Keep 'em coming!
Hope you are both well
Claire
Think I need to update our blog!!! Hi guys,
Was really great meeting up with you, seeing some familiar faces and sharing travel stories. I've still not had a chance to update our blog and am now over a month behind - this is mainly due to sitting up late with you guys for two weeks and not being confined to our tent as soon as it goes dark!! Maybe once you've finished updating up to Cooktown & back then I can just copy & paste it into our blog & just change the names.
Looking forward to seeing you again in Sydney - once our ant-hunting madness is out of the way (no-one else will know what I'm talking about but there you go).
After spending most of our adult working lives in the UK we were ready to make a significant life change and decided to spend some time living in Australia? Our enthusiasm for scuba diving hasn't declined with age and we intend to seize every opportunity to learn about marine life in the Southern hemisphere.
We departed from the UK April 4th 2006 then spent 8 months travelling the east coast and now we live in a lovely area of NSW, Corindi Beach, which is 25 minutes north of Coffs Harbour.
