my heart yearns... I hate myself for going months without checking my email...I would have tried to go with you if I'd have known you were going...I miss you guess...and your talk of Thailand and Cambodia make me feel crazy to be so sedentary. I too was somewhat swindled at the Cambodian border...but I was alone and scared...you two are so lucky to have each other!! Love you guys!
Ah the excitement of furrin parts Dear Kids, Glad you defeated the breakeriners before they could do more than ruin what could have been a night's sleep. Never had that adventure on our travels, but then we didn't go to Cambodia. Think we won't put it on our travel wish list. C and B coming in a week for a week of sunshine? seafood, birdwatching. 7 day forecast is NOT promising, but they are often wrong. Love
The Texas Two
Glad to hear there are joys of some sort in Cambodia. Although I am a natural enemy (not unlike man vs the sea), I will give a pass for smiling orphan children.
holla! Much love to you two in Thailand! It looks great. Of course you're probably jealous of all the snow we have here, but don't worry, I'll save you some for when you get back.

Sa bai dee mai ka?? Did I say that right? Oh, how I am enjoying reading your stories from Thailand--please tell Chudatorn and Suthep hello if you are still there! I miss Thailand SOOOOO much that it simply hurts to think about :-) Enjoy every minute! Love, Kara
spicy food I've actually been eating more and more spicy food.
So i've desensitized myself. Of course it's probably nothing compared, but i'm trying. That and it's a good high.
Sometimes a guy has to catch the boquet. And damnit, this time it was gonna be me :) I was so glad to be out there with you guys! Congrats once again! Love you both,

I miss you guys already and Sutep's family and all of Thailand. The holiday foods are very heavy and the weather although unseasonably warm ( thank God!) feels cold cold cold. Jet lag is real.
I will send some of my photos to you soon. The links to the enlargements were broken after the 4th photo.
You guys are the greatest You guys are awesome. I'm glad i was able to visit. I hope christmas was somewhat decent. It looks like you picked some great pictures though to really express the jovial nature of us all.

Shall I ship you some tomato sauce? sounds like you two are dining regularly if not always well. Enjoyed Bankok when we were there. The hotel where Wendy booked us was the most elegant we'd ever seen. As your great grandfather said, Be good and if you can't be good, be careful!
HOLY S---! OK, note to self, "no riding unfamiliar vehicles on previously untoured terrain." But you all look like you're ok. Loving the commentary as well as the pics. We miss you, but are delighted to hear all the details of your adventure as you experience it.
The blog started with a trip to Thailand in September of 2005. We lived there for most of a year and sporadically shared bits of our adventure through this blog.
It is now a place where we can share our current adventures.... full info
