Funchal Another delightful collection of images, this time from Madeira. This is my top pick. I'll have Irish Breakfast or Pu'er with my scones, jam & cream please.
Arguments Yard Another fine collection of your penchant for attending a game of football and meanderings to get there. And you found this...what a cracker. I am posting this in "Streetecapes" thread in the Photograhy Forum so it does not disappear in the ether. Check 'em out.
Holding Back The Years Alas, not as many fireworks as you had at New Year. An alternative view of Arguments Yard is in my Whitby blog at Goth Weekend November 2016

GDANSK This hotel facade is wild. Seems the Poles have plenty to warp their perspective on things...and who could blame them? Their history is rife with subjugation by conquerors. What the Nazis did to this country is appalling and your pics remind me they will not forget. Great photos as always.
Crooked Coffee I always enjoy your eye for photography. But for this one I had to take a double-take. A folly that someone had the money to mix the bricks and mortar to actually make. Brilliant. Definitely a candidate for the Architectural Details thread in the Photography Forum. But was the coffee as good as it should have been?
A man cannot live on Northern League and other obscure football alone, A man cannot live without many things...but his other half...gotta be close to sainthood!!!
The Man in the Middle The Red is of the Tricky Tree variety. They hail from Trentside, Nottingham. Nottingham Forest Football Club .........known in other circles as the European Cup Winning Brothers. As the Man in the Middle is fond of saying .....they are "waiting for the 3rd star".
The original purpose of the blog was the 20th wedding anniversary trip in 2006 / 2007 - Ashes cricket in Oz, setting off early in April and going the long way round!
The trip came to an end in February 2007 and for a while retrospective blogging was the only option (for reasons that you can find in the Road to Freedom).
There are still two to travel and the passport is now back in use in 2009. We get distracted in more than the odd football ground along the way, but it is all part of the journey.... full info
