Your Journey It is incredible to see such amazing sights and places your journey has taken you. In the least "dramatic" way I would like to say that it has been inspirational; you have inspired me to go after my own goals. Thank you for sharing it all.
Baaaaaad! Sorry you had such a bad experience in HCMC. Funny how it's different for different people. We love it so far but then we live way out of town and only venture into the city occasionally. Good luck with the rest of your travels.
Now that you have more than 3 recommends it will be happening often. It will happen when you publish a blog of at least 400 words and at least one photo in the blog, which has been uploaded within the 10 days prior to publishing the blog. :)
Tough situation and tough choice - sounds like the right one. I hope having made the decision things improve, and look forward to seeing some photos when you travel on.
Hi Jessica have been following your blog and I do feel for you, I have once suffered the same and know how difficult it is to explain to others how it feels. Nice to hear that you are now starting to feel better. The rice treatment is terrible but it works! Good luck and I am sure things are looking brighter now even if you won\'t have the cold weather and that Mars bar! Perhaps you will receive a UK parcel? xx

Back To School Hi Jess, I completely drifted off whilst reading your blogs to date and felt as though I was there! The atmosphere you create with your writing is fantastic.......no nonsence just straight from the heart and in plain English. I'm sure by now that you would have experienced a little home sickness but I think what you are doing is absolutely fantastic for you and for all the lucky people that you meet along the way!
As the comment title says...it's back to school in the morning! I'm actually looking forward to it as my holiday has been a bit of a busman's holiday....looking after my kids while my wife, Nikki, worked extra hours in her new Beauty busines to take advantage of the holiday period. The weather here has been pants too! To add to my woes the forecast is for a windy week so you know only too well what that means for the kids at school....."off the wall" Gordon used to say with a deep uneasy inhale followed by an even more uneasy chesty cough! Bless him.
Please continue blogging as I'm genuinely enjoying your adventure from afar......though the starring monks had me feeling a little spooked. Take good care of yourself, and I will make sure I send you the contact details of the Thai naval officer when that part of your adventure draws closer.......just in case you need a friendly face. By the way, the whole Brockhill website/email will probably be changing due to the Academy thing.....so no longer kent.sch.....blah blah...you probably know this already but hey!
Have fun, don't work too hard.

Hello Jess I'm following you daily - your blogs are quite simply amazing and already compulsory reading! Take care sweetie - we are all routing for you. Love from us here xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
In a nutshell; I am Jess. I was 27 years old, and left a wonderful teaching job in search of unemployment and volunteer opportunities across the other side of the world. Some say it's foolish, I was inclined to agree but these experiences altered me in ways I never imagined possible. I accomplished dreams, re-found lost passions, set up a charity in Sapa, taught in Cambodia, established a teaching course in Vietnam and published articles and photos for magazines and books.
