i see me in you. your words reminds me of the girl i want to be and im constantly trying to be. I liked you, the moment i read this, "It is the delightful little villages which are obscured from view of the big hustle and bustle that is the cosmopolitan cities which make up the essence of French culture and if you miss this, well, in my opinion you might as well have stayed at home. "
Love This Living in Cornwall myself... just up the road from Polperro, I was intrigued to read this and really enjoyed your descriptive portrayal of a place I know well. Funny how you travel the world in search of beautiful and exciting places only to forget sometimes that they can be found right on your own doorstep... thanks Jess - for reminding me of that.
Amazing stories Hi Jessica - Alison Martin directed me to you blog (we went to school together many ears ago). I had posted a picture of Sapa on my fb page and she contacted me to tell me about your blog.. I'm currently in Sapa with my family. Anyway, I just wanted to say what an amazing blog you have - I've loved reading of your journey. My son went to Cambodia with his school last year - it is a Sydney school and they support an orphanage and school in Cambodia- it was a fantastic experience for him. Anyway, well done for all the great work you are doing. Look forward to the updates. We are spending the week trekking between the Hmong villages!
Hi Jess, first time to read your blog and I got hooked. I share your passion for travel and finding new enriching experiences. Now, I will follow your blog.
I think of you time and again, and wonder how you are getting on after witnessing that bus accident. Writing is a great method of expression and I think you have done a great job with this blog. cheers from Canada
nice pics! great energy! loved lookin' at the pics of all the castles from... my country! Great job! keep it up and thanks for
sharing. All the best to you from Jeremy
Wow! Thanks for the memories. As usual, your photos are incredible--you really are a master of light and perfect angles. Great meanderings in the Loire Valley, and I look forward to more of your back roads.
Monastery stay - Sagaing Hi Jess, I am not one to usually read strangers blogs but I came across yours when researching Monastery stay in Sagaing and have spent the last hour reading your insightful adventures and marvelling at your incredible photos. We are travelling to Myanmar in November and your blogs have truly moved me -you write with such passion and warmth. I would love the contact details for Monty so we too can experience life in Sagaing without having to stay at the Hapy Hotel.
Many thanks
Vicki Australia
Thank you Hi, I will get his details for you. I am currently moving house so everything is packed but will send them to you when I get a moment. You will love it there, Myanmar is just incredible
Beautiful I am sitting here in Auckland on a very rainy afternoon and your blog transported me back to when my Nan and Grandad were alive and we too had a marvelous family holiday in Polperro. You are a talented girl who uses the English language beautifully keep up the good work :-) Excellent images too
Thanks Jessica Currently, I'm in a job that I don't love and each morning I read a blog to put me in an excellent frame of mind. Your blogs always do that for me. You have an excellent way of telling a story. Your photography is exceptional.
In a nutshell; I am Jess. I was 27 years old, and left a wonderful teaching job in search of unemployment and volunteer opportunities across the other side of the world. Some say it's foolish, I was inclined to agree but these experiences altered me in ways I never imagined possible. I accomplished dreams, re-found lost passions, set up a charity in Sapa, taught in Cambodia, established a teaching course in Vietnam and published articles and photos for magazines and books.
