After a great week in Puerto Viejo and then San Jose, Costa Rica (plus a 30-hour bus ride), I finally made it to Quetzaltenango (a.k.a. Xela), Guatemala around 9pm last night. I´m so excited to be here! I was feeling surprisingly ambitious this morning (or maybe it had something to do with the sagging mattress and rock-hard pillow in my room), so I decided to go visit the school where I´ll be working for the next two months.
