In a solemn place To stand at that most honourable of places, to look and try to imagine the sights and sounds of that day of days. Then pay a silent tribute.

and all the air a solemn stillness holds"

This building is important Many buildings associated with Hitler have been destroyed such as the Fuhrer Bunker and the Berghof. It is important to keep as many buildings as possible intact. They are evidence from the past about what really happened. If you destroy the past because you think it's too ugly to preserve, you may be condemned to repeat it.
Hitler's Congress building. I camped there with the Boy Scouts in 1962 or so but did not understand the significance of the place untill many years later. As I prepare for a return visit to the area, I will not ignore this historic arena and after doing so, I will most certainly come home with new emotions, both good and bad.
