I remember the heat in Italy.... ...though, when WE were there, it was between 39 and 45 degrees celsius every day! (The pharmacia signs were only too happy to remind us of the climbing temps as we walked each day. :)) Glad you survived.
I'll be praying for safe travels for you and your family as you journey home. :)
Welcome back! My operation on my knee is now Sept.18th-I will be off work until January. In August Geoff and I go to Vienna, Hungary and Croatia. I always loved reading your blogs. Your photos were awesome. See you in early Sept.
Safe Travels-
Debbie Bocian
Awesome pics & see you soon Great pictures and an amazing time no doubt. Your detour story on the way home reminded me of all the little obstacles that were thrown in your way as a family while in Europe. It has probably become much more casual then the first bit of adversity faced when you all arrived, not much can rattle you all now I bet.
Done Like Dinner! Jarod, I have enjoyed your Blogs for the past year and will miss reading about your adventures in Switzerland and travels about Europe, but we are here in Canada with open arms waiting for you, Avery and the children to return.
Cute story! Hi Friends- Guess what happened? My knee surgery was cancelled 6 days before I went in-I will have surgery now in September. That means I will not work until jan. 2013. Geoff ad I are going on bus tour of Hungary and Croatia in August. Please let me know what your parents thought about Croatia. Enjoy your end of year! Debbie B

met denis Hi Jarod - I hope you know that I pray for you and your family so often. And I love your blog! It continues to sounds just like you, but on a screen....this is a gift I wish I had. :)
I wanted to tell you that I met Denis the other day, at district PD - I'm not sure I was adequately able to explain who I was, how I knew who HE was, or that I knew you even though I didn't teach there anymore....it was an awkward exchange. :) Anyways, he seems very nice and was a good sport in our session on DPA, just as you would likely have been.
Hope the chicken pox have fled and you are all back to enjoying your european adventure! I must say: no one does europe like the letendre's - you guys are doing it ALL, and I love reading about it!
Take good care and enjoy your last months abroad,
Amy
No place quite like the Top of Europe We took the train up to Jungfrau a few years ago and it's such a cherished memory - it was a beautiful day trip up and down. Thanks for sharing your experience - here is ours.. http://bit.ly/cFG6xq
Happy Easter and Happy safe Holiday! Have fun Jarod and family. Time sure goes by quickly. When do you finish school? How many days do you get off now? We just finished our Spring Break-10 days off. I cleaned my house.
I have asked Denis to join my family for Easter Supper. This summer I am going to Vienna, Hungary and Croatia. are you travelling more before you return? Best wishes-I love your blog!

Stop playing hockey for them - we need you! Hey Jarod,
Glad to read that you are doing well. I enjoy the blog!! Report card season at school - everyone is working hard! The kids sure are growing! Have some bad news - we lost the final in LNHL - 2-0. It's great that you are winning in International play, but we sure could use you here! We couldn't score a goal to save our lives!
The Habs sure are missing your support - they're in a tight race with Edmonton for the worst Canadian team . . .
All my best to you all!
Kev
WE LOVED ROME! Have an awesome time in Rome, Jarod - it was our favourite Italian city! We had our best tiramisu there so taste away!!!! The restaurant was called Gallino Bianco, I think.... Also, go to Villa Borghese - it was our best day by far: beautiful park, with paddle boats and outdoor gardens and cafes....lots for the kids to see and do! Trevi Fountain is also a sight to see.......take lots of pictures!!!
Merry Late Christmas and Happy New Year Hello from warm Alberta! I had my small family for Christmas Eve and Christmas. We had lots to eat and played trivia games. Your kids sure look good, Jarod! Hope the new year is very lucky and happy for you and your family. Enjoy your holiday...
Christmas Merry Christmas Jarod and family
It is not looking much like xmas here, either, there is hardly any snow here in saskatoon. We leave dec. 19 for a week to Panama City. (Jaime is coming, as well). We went ot a very nice Candle Light Service at the Knox United Church in saskatoon 2 wks. ago. It was very meaningful and I am so glad that Rod and I went.
Hope you and your family - mom and dad and Ingie have a wonderful Christmas together and wishing you all the best in the new Year.
Love from Rod and Sheila
Time Keeps on Ticken'. . . . Isabelle's artwork looks like a 'keeper'. Good job! Love the pix of the kids on their new toys. Time surely is going on - soon it is Christmas! Take Care! Miss you all!
So Cute! Your kids are so cute in their costumes. Who made the outfits?
I only got 10 kids this Halloween. Have a nice November. Don't work too hard. I have 5 days of interviews starting next week. After that I will need a holiday!
I really enjoyed reading your blog, Jarod. You have a great sense of humour like your parents! I was glad to see some pictures of them and to know that they are doing well. It must be so nice to be together once again. Say hi to them for us. Your year sounds so exciting - enjoy every minute of it.
Great Pictures Hi Jarod-I think Avery looks beautiful in the photos. I enjoy reading about your adventures. Please Jarod say a prayer for me this week-I am going to have a spinal tap to see if there is a reason I have pain and so much stiffness. Thanks for any prayers-I am a bit scared.
I want to try a cruise next summer if my health is good. Maybe a cruise somewhere in Europe.
Happy Halloween tomorrow!
such is life .... I was reading your blog to Brian and he wants you to know that he feels for you.
Many years ago, a classmate of his, when asked what he would like to comeback as responded, " a dentists' (teachers etc) wife".
After all, we women do have all the fun!
PS The classmate is Morman and has many kids!!
I am glad you and your family are there for support Dear Jarod and Family- I am glad you and your family are there for Denis. He talked with me today before he left and I could see he needs friends like you when he gets back to Switzerland. Jarod, I believe God works in amazing ways to help- having a person like you there in Switzerland to support him at this troubling time is so good. Tell Denis to email me when he knows his return so I can get him at airport if I can arrange this. Happy Thanksgiving to you all! Someday I want to have coffee with your Mom. I can tell I would like her! Everybody still talks about you in very flattering ways! Tonight I went to a play with Rachelle and she told everybody that she thinks that you speak the most perfect French of any teacher on staff! I hope your head size is not expanding too much when you see this compliment....I love your pictures and blog. May God Bless you all!
