wat pa luangta bua yannasampanno the tiger temple recieves good reviews but in a report conducted by the CWI (care for the wild international) the tiger temple behind the scenes activity is hurrendous. in the report findings have shockingly found out that the tigers are fed on a malnourishing diet of chicken carcass and occasional tins of cat and dog food the staff fail to realise this is very bad for them. The enviroment in which the tigers live in are shocking as well, illegal breeding and trading also are carried out behind the scenes as well. Baby cubs and thier mothers disappear from the temple as well, and baby cubs die in captive breeding. For the full report,

Gulp! I don't know how you did it once James, but three times! Watching you jump off into an abyss goes against all my maternal instincts. I'm glad you enjoyed it. Take care xx
Wow! New Zealand looks amazing. Must have been fantastic flying over the glacier. I think you're very brave doing the sky dive, it must have been very scarry jumping out of a plane. X
OZ sounds great! Glad to hear you learned how to surf. It will come in handy when you're in Santa Cruz. Bring on the bungee jumping and sky diving in New Zealand!
Whata Guy Looks like you guys are having a great time! Keep on taking those photos to share with us in the U.S. when you arrive. okay? We are assuming that you'll stop off in Carson City somewhere along your route of travel! Behave yourself (ha!).
Seen a dingo yet?! Hey James, sounds like you're having a bonza time down under. Sorry to hear about the probs you've had, hope your luck changes like you say! The pics of the crocs are amazing, the road sign is a bit sad though! Poor birds! Hope you're having fun chilling out on the amazing beaches, looks idyllic. Take care :0)
Great pictures Hi James. I love the pictures of the Australian wildlife. That spider is huge. And what is that crocodile eating? Also, it's good to see you looking happy and relaxed after the traumas of the last week or so. Take care xx
Wow, James! I had a busy few weeks at work and didn't stay caught up on your blogs. What an amazing journey so far! I am glad that you are safe and decided to stick with your buds and go to Cairns with them.
Stay safe!

GYC This is your EXTREMELY relieved mother. I've lost count of the number of times I've said to your Dad how glad I am that you changed your mind and went to Australia with the guys. Great photos of you all together. Take care lots of love xx

Just a note Don't be fooled fellow readers, James says I took the news of his change of plan 'really well'. This was after much discussion and interrogation. What can I do about it, thousands of miles away? Please take care love and don't take any risks. X
The other two from the hide. Just come across this blog and realised it was Ross's two friends writing it.
This is so funny from the other sides perspective - the three of us were sat in the hide wondering what had happened to his "two skin head mates" lol
Glad you both made it out ok!!
Leeches Sounds like an interesting time so far!!!
Just a quick tip, probably too late now, as you'll have left the rainforest by the time you get this, but squirting insect repellant on leeches will make them fall of within a few seconds.
Have fun and take care
Timxxx
Thank goodness Thank goodness you're all ok. Like you say it was very foolish to split up. After everything I said to you James about staying together. Please take care and think things through. Are you taking your anti-malarials? Don't forget to do that. TAKE CARE. Lots of love xx
Hi, As always good to read your latest blog. Glad you are feeling better, guess you won't be eating any soup for a while!!
We've had a good weekend here in Wilmslow. Woke up to a reasonable covering of snow this am, but it was all gone by lunchtime. We went for a walk this am up by the Edge and drove past the golf course--people had been sledging earlier in the morning. Have you been able to see the football today, Man U won 3-0 and arsenal/chelsea playing as I'm writing.
Take care James, love Judy xx
at last... Thanks for finally getting back to blogging your adventures! I was starting to worry about you. Sounds like you had some fun and a lot of alcohol. Life on the beach sounds great, I'm sorry that you tired of it.
You are now on to places (really just countries) that I've never been. CU in San Diego!

I sounds like the islands go from one extreme to the other. From quiet tranquil beaches on Ko Tao club med on Ko Phi Phi! From parties to 11 am to being tucked up in bed watching a film.
Scuba diving sounds like a great experience. I'm glad to hear you prefer trekking over laying on the beach. It's not surprising really; you never have wanted to stay in one place for very long!
I hope your camera is ok and you get it sorted out soon.
I spoke with Doc's dad (Will) a few weeks ago and he climbing Mount Blanc in June. It sounds really interesting and is something I aspire to do. Maybe it is something to plan for 2009...
Tigers! Amazing photos, James, can't believe you've got that close to such beautifil but potentially lethal creatures and lived to tell the tale. Glad you're having such an amazing time, we are all logging on to see what you are all up to so keep the blogs going. Take care. xxx
Thanks for adding a bit more about how the tigers live. I'm glad they're not chained up all the time. It sounds like they are well looked after, in contrast to the poor snakes you saw. Take care lots of love X
I don't believe it! This is just amazing. My envy is registering new shades of green. I don't think Buffy will ever talk to you again James. One concern though, are the tigers always chained up?
Wow!! heya James, your trip sounds fantastic - waterfalls look very appealing but i'm not sure about the pork you had for tea!! It sounds like a real experience tho - we're happily stay with one of my uncles friends at the mo so glad to finally do some washing. The thailand islands are amazing - especially the phi phi islands - you'll have a great time. Hope to see you in Cairns lots of love emma xx
THE WAIT IS OVER
Hey, I'm James. I wouldn't really regard myself as well traveled, but I'm not one to sit at home and twiddle my thumbs. We've been planning this trip round the world for nearly two years. By the end of July '08 will have visited China, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Australia, New Zealand, Fiji and USA. Going with four very good friends. It will be a great adventure and a fantastic experience.
The four friends with are tagging along with me and their blogs are: Richard "Burst the Bubble" Huntington,... full info
