Plural of octopus If you're looking for a fancier, and more etymologically-friendly, plural than "octopuses", then I think "octopodes" is the way to go. But you may need a bigger dictionary...
Your stalker is following you! Hello James and Vanessa - thanks for the great log! Bertrand and I got back from a fantastic and all too short month in Thailand, Laos and Cambodia (yes well, we were optimistic about how much ground we could cover). We both loved Thailand so thanks for the inspiration! Can't wait to go back to the white beaches, diving and watermelon shakes.
Your Tasmania trek sounds spectacular and I might have to start warming up Bertrand to follow you there too... ;)
Happy and safe travelling!

Hello! Hi! Glad to see you're still having a brill time - it's great to hear from you and to see all your amazing photos. We're off on holiday tomorrow - will write a proper email with news when we get back. Have a good trip to Oz!!
Pensions excitement You may think Thailand and Australia are fun, but back here in the UK we have our own excitement too. September's RPI figure has been published, and it's over 200!
So jealous! Hi
Great blog - you've done so much cool stuff already, it all sounds amazing. Enjoy the rest of your time in Thailand. By the way, in case you need a change from banana, watermelon smoothies are well nice. Beware of the mighty Chang beer, vanessa!! I don't have much to report, apart from that Paul is now 30. Will send a proper email soon xxx
Travellers' hair Has Vanessa really had her hair cut short by a beach barber? This we have to see! We will die of shock!
Missed you playing Ibert and Francaix chez Alex this weekend! Safe travelling xxx
Sounds awesome... I am sooooo jealous!!! It sounds magical. I can't wait to see the Bear Box and the pictures. Put them up soon, please! I especailly need to see Vanessa's short hair...Hope you have a wonderful time on Ko Samui. I found it a little touristy, but I am sure there are some nice bits too. Will email properly soon, when I can get to a cheap internet cafe (all a bit expensive here in HK!). xx
Two actuaries taking some time out for trekking and general adventure in Thailand, Australia and New Zealand.
