Hi Ben!
I am so enjoying traveling through your blog! It's probably as close as I'll ever get to that area. It's awesome that you have the experience to go to another country and understand their history and current lifestyle and culture. You will look at the United States and St. Louis so different from now on! Worldly thinking and a much more open perspective on life was our take away when we left Hong Kong. Continue having fun! Oh ya, and learning!

Stalin and the Revolution Hey Ben,
I really enjoyed reading your blog about Stalin, the revolutionist, and what's left of his statue.
Hope you are having a wonderful time and learning more than you've ever imagined!

Thanks Mrs. Schatteman. Yes, my experiences in Prague was a little scary but overall it's been an amazing trip. I've learned things that I couldn't have possibly learned in the classroom. So although it may be a little scary I wouldn't turn your kids off to the idea of study abroad. Hope everything is going well in St. Louis.
OMG Ben, it is so fun to read your blog....all I could think was OMG...after reading this I am definitely not going to push for my kids to study abroad. It is TOO scary!! I am thankful you were OK and the weekend turned out OK. I am sure it will be much more fun when your parents come to visit!

I give you a... I believe I saw an article on this match (as they say in the island just off of Europe) on soccernet.espn.com. I believe the renowned ESPN soccer analyst Schaerlaeckens said, and I quote, "I will give the american defense/striker/free safety Ben Zell a B plus for his performance. He controlled the ball well and had decent vision dispite having such horrid flow. Overall I found his quaint American 'is this how I play soccer?' charm quite lovely and made for such warm and charming moments in the match like when he whiffed on open passes or scored in the wrong net. After these moments I would have a slight aside where I would chuckle to myself and think 'silly American!'" Do you feel that this is accurate Benjamin? I woudln't know, but I feel his discription of you is eerily accurate. Anywho, I would grade your writing ability as a C minus for lack of anthetacle references and scarcity of sexual inuendos/original puns. ZING!
Sincerely,
Großherzog of The Northern Territory of the Greater Wisconsin Principalities
P.S. I miss you
