Blimey! I would refer the author of the blogs to my earlier comment regarding the degree of anxiety experienced when reading accounts of your adventures! When I read Lake Titicaca... my heart sang, " what joy! , we are about to read an account about a gentle boat ride across a beautiful lake !"......and then....well...we all know the rest!! Absolutely fascinating and enthralling though!!! Keep it up!!:-)
Titanic I am left worried for the Polish woman. I feel this has done little for anglo polish relations. I expect the poor woman (lets call her Brittany) was hoping for a more Brittanyesk style ending:
"all aboard"
"britney before you go, there's something i want you to have"
"oh its beautiful, but wait a miniute, isnt this... ?"
"yes it is"
"but i thought the old lady dropped it into the ocean in the end"
"well baby, i went down and got it for you"
"oh you shouldnt have"
oops!... i did it again to your heart
got lost in the game, oh baby baby
oops!... you think im in love
that im sent from above
im not that inocent
REPEAT CHORUS X2:
And I think those words are as true today as they have always been. We love you Brittany.
Much better! What a relief to read the last two blogs! I prefer my emotions to be stirred by stories of love and affection than shaken by accounts of very scary extreme sports!:-). I think you chose the best option to stay with the kids. The Jungle just has alot of trees in it! you wouldn't be missing much!
Keep it up Ian, it's just amazing what you're doing.
Take care and looking forward to hearing everything when you get back, MAJ. x
Naranjas y limones dice las campanas de St.Clements Nickelodeon broadcast to Latin America Dora la Exploradora. Dora and Boots (called Botas) speak Spanish and the other protagonists speak and answer in English. I commend it to the house http://nickjr.co.uk/shows/dora/index.aspx
All sounds so cool So what is the English for door? I think they have stolen your heart! What an experience and what an opportunity to reflect on life. You make us all think about what is important. Sam is off to work with children today - she should look out for sneezes that could stop wars! So now you are a professor - Mr Amin called you Professor! Love your blogs! Gotta take Sam on a 5 mins drive - I ask you!
spanish Mrs Jarrett who is Jake's teacher asked where all the hola! s where coming from as apparently he has been throwing them in liberally at school. I taught the boys my sensational new song and dance routine called 'the lobster, lobster'. Stand up tall, hands in air, open and close hands like lobster claws and sing (vaguely to the tune ooooh oh the oakey cokey) "do the lobster, lobster, do the lobster, lobster and turn about"; it is key at this point to dance around in a circle. Repeat to fade. It has quite caught on in this house. Suggest you introduce to La Paz as a traditional British song.
For the love of Bejeebers( as Ryan keeps saying!) Well I guess we all have to take the rough with the smooth in all things in life! This blogg was certainly hard to read!... through my fingers over my eyes.. couldnt bear to read!!
My question is how did you get to keep a look at the scenery, your front wheel, back wheel, rocks in the road, death drops either side, other traffic, your friends and where you were going ALL at the same time at speed??!!:-)
Extremely thrilling account though! Hope the next one is about a leisurely boat ride down a gently meandering river!
Awwwwwhhhhhhhhhh! I want you to bring them all home!!!!... it's so wondeful to read your bloggs, you are painting such a vivid picture of what you are doing. We're all really proud of you and I tell everyone what my nephew is up to!
I agree with your mum , your life or at least the way you look at life will never be the same again!
One things for sure, your not gonna come back and work for some place like Kent County Council 'til you retire!!!
Good on you Ian!
Lots of love
Mad Aunty!!
Do I want to read that? Wow! Scenery so stunning its undescribable and ...well ... no I can't describe feelings regarding the road of death! Glad you blogged!
Cuidado con tu salud Do try and stay in one piece dear boy. I like your current arrangement of limbs - traditional but tried and tested. I think Bolivian hospitals might be a very bad experience.
have to look it up.... Smuggling children in a crime!! They have a sneaky way of getting to you though eh? Hope you dont get too saddle sore on the bike ride! Pavey's band played on sat night - way cool! I Danced to EVERY song! Love your blog - your life is changed forever now.
Los parablos son muy bien(?) You have such a way with words. You paint such a vivid picture of what you are seeing and doing. I smile, I weep, I delight in your adventure! Life in England is real but we take it for granted - we had a fabulous thunder storm with lightening that catches your breath as you realise you are not in control. Keep swinging those kids and tapping your feet to the new beat. I love you and think you are a great poet and writer!
You rock! Your adventures sound wonderful - all parts. Yeah life is for living, dancing and laughing...(I am dancing on Sat night BTW)
So pleased you are there now and enjoying it sooo much ...keep bimbling...
charango As any scholar of Quechua kirkinchu knows, charangos are tradiditionally made with the shell of an armadillo. This isn't always welcomed by the armadillo. Hope yours is of wood.
