Glad you're home What an amazing experience for both of you. And thank you so much for sharing the details of your travels. All of us are going to miss hearing about your days...but so glad you are home safe and sound. Where are YOU/WE going next? Kirk
Winding down Hey guys...looks like a pretty amazing little lakeside town. Running into any Schlettis in Switzerland? Love the Royale w/Cheese...do they dip their french fries in mayonaise? Do they "drown 'em in that (stuff)" as the movie says?
Walter's doing just dandy. Call me when you land tomorrow and let me know when you plan on picking him up. I'll make sure one of us is around.
From John Fassbinder Two items from Mr. Fassbinder: he is still waiting for his postcard and, he's wondering if Lyndsay has stopped shaving her pits to fit in......I hope that's a little joke between the two of you.
Thinking of you Funny you should mention Green Mill. I'm planning to take the girls there on Friday (tomorrow) w/ the gift certificate I got from a client for being such a fabulous attorney (free consultation). We'll think of you and pretend we're having way more fun on Cliff Road in Burnsville than you're having on the Italian coast. We have snow forecast for this weekend (again). That's right, first weekend in May. I'm guessing you've considered never returning to MN? Not a bad idea. We could all continue to live vicariously...might keep us going for awhile, at least. Sounds like a wonderful trip...jealous doesn't even come close.
I would have screamed at that man's face - yuck - you are being a very brave girl being so adventurous with this hostel business - do you get to treat yourself with a nice hotel before you come home? Can't wait to see the pictures......thanks Jason for sending me the link - I have enjoyed reading this so much - you two are really good at writing and I laugh out loud a lot!
ironic. Funny you should mention wings from the Mill- I'm a bit stuffed, as I just got home from eating my weight in wings. They were good.
I also find it funny that you didn't spine punch the snoring man. What with your childish temper I would have at minimum expected to verbally lash him like none other. You getting soft dear sister.
Oh, and lets be real- we all know your hygeine sucks, so I'm doubting your story of brushing your teeth. That is all. B
Siestas Fiestas Sleep and party, sleep and party. Sounds like Walter's day, basically. Or does Pete have Stuart? So I assume you got your packs back. Think that would have happened in the US of A? Maybe, if everyone was napping. We should open up a good ol tourist trap business right there and then only open during siesta time. Lyndsay, glad you didn't get hurt rolling down the Italian mountainside. Kirk
Too jealous to comment Hey guys - would've written sooner but am consumed with envy. Life in the office is not nearly as entertaining as your travels. My recent travel consisted of a weekend trip to see my family in KC. Was somewhat entertaining in its own demented way. Am very disappointed Jason didn't snap a photo of Lyndsay in the ditch. The romance of Italy and wanderlust must be turning you both into saps. I suppose you're not even throwing the to-die-for pizza at each other? Bring me a souvenir, please (not bread). love, khart
How was your trip? Well, Ms. Howard...Now I know we are related! Every year I take a public tumble somewhere! You've taken it to new hights by having one in a foreign country! Congrats!
Yes to happy hour upon your return and it occurred to me that Pfieffer only asked you not to think about her when you bathed because she was jealous that you thought of me, too! Wink wink.
Loving your blog updates!! I check them immediately when they come in!
I thought I'd be hearing about all the wonderful sights, yet here I am reading about the lack of dog neutering in Italy. I might be finished with this blog.
Wow. An ostrich? I absolutely couldn't imagine something worse to run into on a hike. I'd rather face a bear or lion. Me and birds do not mix, as you may remember from Vegas. Think of how scared I was of the pigeons -- multiply that size by a million and that would be my reaction.
Unbelievable Thank you both for sharing your many wonderful experiences. What an incredible adventure. I think you two should be travel guides...you seem to find a lot of excitement right around every corner. I'll miss reading about your unbelievable experiences next week when you're back in Saint Paul. Oops, sorry to bring that up. Enjoy the pizza.
pervert. You would oggle to dogs goodies, wouldn't you? You should be ashamed.
Anyway.... I'm concerned about all the "vino" consumption. You best get that in check.
Godspeed.
Cooper lost ANOTHER tooth!!! I'm going to have to blend his food to make "gruel" soon.
Looks awesome, guys... I'm pretty jealous...that town looks amazing. And I could probably spend a week eating meat, cheese, and wine from the looks of it.
Just an update on Walter. He's fine. He's a total lazy ass. I wish I had something funny or interesting to report, but it's pretty much "sleep, eat, walk, poop, bark, repeat". Seems content and happy...then again, he licks himself, so what do I know?
Traveling with you! We feel like we have been in Italy all week with you! Grandpa wants to rent a villa and park one of those neat little cars right beside it. Can't you just see him buzzing around the hills? Sure has been fun reading all your comments and with the pictures it has been great. Enjoy the last week and don't forget Minn and Wi--the places you should visit NEXT! Love you both--Grandma
Enjoying the day Glad to read your blog. It sure sounds like you are making the most of your trip and experiencing the traveling to the fullest. How do you decide which corner to go around next? Glad to know you are doing well and looking forward to the rest of your updates. You will have some fantastic memories when you are back state side.
Craig
back off My apologies. I'll do better from now on. FYI- Cooper lost TWO teeth today!! I'm such a proud mommy, I'm going to put them on a chain and wear it as a necklace. HAHAHA, I won't, but you better believe that the tooth fairy will be visiting him tonight (she leaves treats, not money.) I'll message you a little more later..
Britany Hey! I just wanted to let you know that I have been reading your blog everyday. I even have it bookmarked so I get a little notice each time there is a new post. AND...I was sitting on the billy's patio the other evening and Britany was there and we laughing about you eating bread...so I know she is reading it everyday too!
Glad to hear everything is going so well for you too.
See you soon.
Love, Maggie
Hey sissy and husband. Glad to hear you're having a good time! I'm chuckling inside about how much weight you're likely gaining. Perfect ammunition for our sisterly name calling.
I miss you!
Oh, to be young again! Just have been so thrilled to read your messages. When I saw your pictures I was so proud that you could be having such an adventure. Just love to share it with you. Our days this week have been marvelous--so warm and feels so good after that WINTER. Looking forward to your messages from Italy.Have fun! Love you both. Grandma and Grandpa Howard
More pics of you two on vacation! Thanks for the updates, lovers!! If I weren't stuck here at my desk under the glare of the flourescent bulbs, I'd swear I was right there with you! I'd have packed a body sized bottle of of sanitizer before I'd sit down in someone else's tub, however...unless there were plenty of cocktails before hand. You two have fun and keep the updates coming!
