Internet skills enhance flexibility Flexibility is often needed in home exchange and in other aspects of retirement travel. One of the best ways to allow this flexibility is to get facile on the internet. Have sites ready for making air and rail arrangements, for finding and changing room accommodations (not every travel is a home exchange), and for communicating with your family and others (Skype is great).
My wife and I have recently retired, and we have developed what our friends tell us is a very unique approach to retirement travel, using a property in the south of France and home exchange to expand our travel opportunities. Our experiences, joys, problems, and many hints (travel technology, finances abroad, healthcare insurance, etc.) can be found at our blog
