Thank you We truly appreciate your travelblogs. By "we" I mean Mr G, Mrs Shinn and Mrs Forbes because I make copies to share with them.
Happy Holidays to all. Mrs G
Your wonderful website Dear Helen- Thank you so much for sending me this sketch of what has been happening around Thanksgiving and the sacrificing in your husband's family's tradition. I have always felt in my heart that if we eat together as brothers, we will understand each other although religions are different. The giving of beef to the neighbors is a beautiful tradition. God bless you and yours. Paula
A tale to remember! Dear Helen and Cenkar,
Congratulations and our best wishes for long and happy life together. Your prenuptual preparations were a trying ordeal, but you survived and looked so happy at the marriage ceremony!May the future holds no more red tape.
Thank you for sharing these moments with us and keep us posted on your life in Turkey.
Best regard and love
Thad and Eugenia
Congratulations! Hi Helen! Congratulations to both of you! You look amazing and I love your dress and your hairdo! So pretty! Wished I was there to join in the festivities. Well, I have to say that all the protocol you guys had to go through to get "hitched" in Turkey was quite an accomplishment. I would love to swing by and visit ya'll in Istanbul someday... Maybe we can get some of that yummy Turkish cake. haha. I wish you guys the best. Make sure to create a "Large Book" of wedding photos! :)
KIT and Take care,
Gigi
You Did It! Helen and Cenker, congratulations on a well deserved courtship that has culminated into a marriage. The ceremony and festivities look beautiful. Wish I was there. Thanks for including me on the blog. I love to read the fabulous places that you visit. It's a history lesson that is so personal. Once again, God bless and good luck. Let me know when the kiddies arrive. :)
Beautiful Hey H-
I wish i could have been there. Sounds like you navigated the process wonderfully. Thanks for sharing everything. I hope it gets easier as you continue your journey! Love you both,
Joe
You look so beautiful, happy, and sweet You look really happy in those pictures. The red tape story was really vivid; I felt as though I were right there next to you, document after document. Hahah!
OMG! Helen, congrats. I read this after reading the blog about your Grandmother. Congratulations! I wish I was there in person to party it up with you guys. Know that we wish you only the best on your union. Peace
Grandma's Legacy Continues I had the absolute pleasure of meeting and talking with your Grandmother. Her accepting nature is obvious in the family that she raised. She was truly a remarkable person who had a unique and personal understanding of what Jesus' message to the world is really about. She lived it everyday of her life. What a legacy! Can I get an "Amen."
Sympathy to the whole family It was my privilege to bring the Holy Eucharist when Kay could not get to church. She was always so appreciative and promised to remember me and my family in her prayers and I know this will continue. AG
a beautiful tribute Helen, What a beautiful tribute to your Grandma. Your superb writing helped me to know her. I know your whole family will really miss her. Harriet
Congratulations! Congratulations !! What a big and nice surprise!! Great to see and hear! You look awesome in Istanbul! Hayirli, ugurlu olsuun
Love
Ayse and Mehmet
All the best to you and Cenker You'll have a wonderful life together. Tom also proposed to me out of the blue on a walk, so I'm sending some of our good karma your way.
Can't wait to congratulate you in person. Enjoy the rest of the trip.
