Inspired Hi,
Myself and my girlfriend are flying to Rio on April 6th and after reading your blog I feel inspired and excited. We are planning to travel South to Buenos aeries and beyond that we are undecided. We will be staying for 3 months in total.
As a massive football (soccer) fan I will be staying at the Hostel Inn upon your recommendation.
take care
Hey guys Hey Hayley and Simon,
Rio sounds incredible. I have always wanted to go there and now I do even more so. Sounds like you had a great time. How great is it having days filled with sightseeing, eating, drinking and chatting? Oh to be travelling again...
ps Glad Chelsea won, Simon!
Yay Wow it looks like you guys are having an amazing experience. So happy for you! Carnaval sounds awesome/scary but thats fantastic that you didn't really get anything stolen.
I recieved your text early this morning. I'm not sure whether to reply as I don't know what international texts cost/if it would work!
Can't wait to see more photos!
Miss you guys xoxo
Hi Hayley...except the hotel's pee smelling (yuck!) and the cold weather, I love your running around town...really remind me of my own travel 3 years ago...went to same places.
Hope you will have better luck with the hotels and the weather in your next destinations! Can't wait for the next fun stories!! Keep having fun and travel safe! Emily.
WOW! sounds like an amazing time guys! im sitting here on saturday morning listening to the sounds of the guy next door mowing the lawn thinking! WHAT THE HELL AM I DOING HERE! have a great time guys! look after each other and I can wait to hear more tales from the south!
Love Jackie!xx
Hey Guys,
I'm glad to hear you are having a good, (if cold) time. Reading your blog made me feel like I was there! San Fran sounds so exciting I might have to put it on my list of places to visit.
I'm afraid your experience with the hotel is one you might become quite accustomed to, it has certainly happened to me many, many times. At least it makes for some funny stories when you get home.
Hayls, work is VERY quiet without you. I am coping so far with the work, although all your bloody spam getting sent to my email is driving me crazy :-) it takes me half an hour every morning to get rid of it all!!
I can't wait to read the next installment of your blog. Carnival how exciting!!!! Hopefully you will have more luck adding photos in South America. Have an absolute ball kids, just don't get too drunk and get mugged :-p
Lots of love, Sas xx
Hi all and welcome to the travel blog for Hayley and Simon's 3 month trip to South America from February to May 2009.
We are both from Brisbane, Australia. This will be our first trip together and the first overseas trip for both of us in many years.
We are starting off with a week in San Francisco and then moving down to Salvador for Carnival. We will be visiting Brazil, Argentina, Chile and Peru; where we will battle the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu.
We are very excited about our upcoming adventures. Please come back from time to time and see what we have been up to.
