great video! Hi Jennifer,
I was alerted to your post through my Google search and am thrilled with your video! Your team was indeed lucky to have such an amazing sighting! I was fortunate enough to get a good look at a marbled cat there, but never saw a cloudie. And to think, you aren't even a felid person :-)
I posted a link to your blog on my Clouded Leopard Project website:

WOW!!! How incredibly amazing that you get to be part of such a beautiful world! And how great that you share with us!! Definitely something to give thanks for!!
THANKSGIVING Hi Jen, I'm so sorry you can't be with us for Thanksgiving, but you will be on our minds. I am so enjoying this blog! So exciting. Can you get a picture of these elephants? My kids at school would like you to send us a pic of 1. a red eyed tree frog & 2. a poison frog. I told them that I would see what I could do. They think you are an explorer! Thake care and say hi to James for us too. Love you! Aunt Gail
Thanks Jen! Jen, I'm glad you are well. At least this way we will know you are alive and kicking! Don't let an elephant step on you and stay safe. Miss you in the states and wish you would be here for the holidays but work is work!!!
Typical Day? Hi Jen!
So great to see your blog and to know that you are in the midst of exciting field work. I'd love to know what a "typical day" looks like for you out there. When do you all get up? Breakfast? How long does it take you to get to your field site for observations? How many people are at your site? etc.
Thanks!!!
David
Thanks for Sharing Jen,
It was a pleasure reading your first week entry. It's refreshing to come to work and read about your exotic tropical rainforest studies, vs. who will be sent home on Dancing With The Stars! I look forward to reading more, and also sharing your stories with Brooke (who is now 4 years old) and loves being read to.
Take Care,
Anne
Wow! What a beautiful place you get to stay! I love it! I can't wait to hear about your adventures in this beautiful river valley. Sounds like you are living in the lap of luxury! I am glad to hear it:). I would love to go to somewhere that pristine and still have a nice place to sleep! I hope you see lots of elephants and can get a picture to share. We look forward to your upcoming reports! Love ya,
Christy
I'm a tropical conservation ecologist studying the effects of climate change, and habitat & land use change on amphibian communities. I travel quite a bit for work, and I love every place I've ever been, except one (but even that wasn't all bad).... full info
