As we may all well know, online booking of gorilla permits has been one of those controversial matters that ever arouse in the tourism sector between Local Tour Operators and Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA) the body that manages Uganda’s National Parks after UWA resolved to push gorilla permits booking online which did not go well with the local tour operators whose genuine fear was that foreign tour operators would throw them out of business. The system has been that foreign tour operators rely on the local tour operators to the purchase of the gorilla permits and if the permits are to be reserved online, then Local tour operators would literally be displaced. Ngamba Island is a magnificent and an astonishing island on the third largest lake in the world, Lake Victoria. The island is among the koome islands of nsadzi, damba, bulago,kiimi and koome its self. Its located 23 kilometers south east of Entebbe and it consists 100 acres of land of which the 98 acres are forested and fenced with electricity and are separated away from the human camp. One acre of the island is now use as the island headquarters while the remaining acre located between the viewing platform and the forest is used as a feeding ground of the chimpanzees during day. An adult female mountain gorilla in the newly habituated Oruzogo Group located in the Ruhija sector of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park has brought joy to the family by delivering the first known set of twins in this locality. The twin mother is Adult Female (ADF) Kakoba while the dad is not yet established .The mother flanked by protective adult females was sighted with two young ones early this week.
