I'm so glad I didn't hear about those bugs or see pictures of them while in Africa. Sitting here in the US I looked around my area nervously for those icky creepy crawlees.
I miss you guys! And I found out you guys know the Fullers! Michelle came up to me and said, "So you probably met the Jensens." And I exploded, "You know the Jensens! Aww! You know the Jensens!" The Fullers helped support my trip to TZ. They are an amazing family.
Brent Richardson as a helper Get Brent to tell you the story of the first time he went to Tanzania and loading his "stuff" on the container at Cy's dad place-If he doesn't remember just ask him if he remembers almost KILLING ken upchurch. That boy has a head as hard as concrete and when he gets his mind on something just get out of the way or you might get hurt. He'll remember he is the reason I am beat up and worn out, or at least part of it. Only picking Brent, well mostly picking I guess. I wouldn't want him "nuked" or anything like that. just ken
Wonderful news! What a great day and week. I know you are thrilled to have your own stuff around you again. I have been in Tanzania when those containers arrive and unloaded a couple and it is truely a happy, happy day.
God bless you plus (6) in your work. Be careful on those roads. Take care of your good selves and know that you are loved, admired, respected and prayed for every single day of your lives. Greet the church for us. With all love and thanksgiving. as always, just ken
glad your container has arrived Yes ,I'm happy for you to have your own things again. I'm sure it feels like being home again, even though it is a new one, to have YOUR things. I'm glad your beds are raised so the creatures don't join you. That would be a very big YIKES!!! for me to have that kind of bed partner. Keep up the good work. Ferrell
Haallooo Hi guys! How is Chubby, Linz? Dustin hopes your bus doesn't get stuck again, and he wants you to know we just had a great family vacation to Wyoming, except for the morning the spider crawled across his face to wake him up. YIKES! Robert is wondering how things are progressing with the Pentecostal preacher? And wants you to know he enjoyed the varmit shooting in WY. (Josh wishes you could have been there, fellas). Candice is glad our hospitals, esp. Ashley's don't resemble that one! 5 weeks until Madison's due date! Love you all!
Your blog I got a late start on receiving and reading your blog. In fact I really didn't know you had one until Betty forwarded one to me along in early May. So today after reading all of the comments I realized that there was some information I was missing. So I clicked on something and got back to the beginning. I found it all very interesting and glad I was able to catch up on your travels. Now I will be anxious to read all the forthcoming journals and watch your progress from afar. I will be honest with your although I admire what your are doing I am one that doesn't want to join you over there. I like my creature comforts but I applaud all your efforts. My love to one of my favorite young men. You know who your are, and to you too, Joy. Ferrell
You thrill our hearts What a joy it is to see families we have known for years still faithful to the Lord. And most of all for your dedication to the those on the other side of the world. We will continue to pray for you.
Sounds like Africa Glad you were successful and only had a stalled bus to contend with and delay you. Sometimes those busses wreck from the drivers getting to impatient and not paying attention. Good pictures of the ferry, building and the preacher and his wife. Thank you for writing. just ken
Ah, those roundabouts!! I've been through those in Trinidad. It kind of feels like you just jump in when there is a tiny hole and jump out when you get to your spot all the time driving on the wrong side of the road!! Did you find a food thermometer??
Praying for you,
Kathryn
With Great Thanksgiving So glad to see Moshi and to "hear " from your sweet writing that things are going well for the plus 6. That is exciting news about your "goods" arriving-I have been in Tanzania when that has happened and it truly is joyous. We continue to keep your names lifted up before the Lord God and continue to pray for you safety, health and good works. There are a bunch of folks in Michigan that saw your faces and heared a fat boy from Ms tell them about the work of TZ 2000 and all of the great servants in Tanzania who are after one for soul for the Kingdom over this past weekend. Hope both congregations will come on board and help us.
Please be careful on those roads, take care of your good selves and know that you are loved, admired and respected by all that know you. as always, just ken
:) I knew Linz would have some critter before too long - it's adorable! :)
I always enjoy your posts... it makes y'all seem a teeny bit closer.
I'm sure you're loving the new experiences, and I'm thrilled for you, though I'll miss rooming with my Luj in Jamaica!
I love you all! You're always in our thoughts and prayers.
Love, Rebecca
What Beautiful Pictures! Julia, did you take those beautiful waterfall pictures? They are so pretty. We are praying for you. I miss you. Ashley's baby shower is June 2. It will be in Aunt Chasity's flower gardens outside. I wish you guys could be there. We will try to send pictures. Love, Candice
Hello I hope there aren't anymore centipedes in your shower, Jacob. I like your hedgehog, Lindsey. I couldn't guess what your pet was when mom said you got a new pet. Talk to you later. Love, Dustin
I have subscribed Have enjoyed reading your messages when Betty sent them on to me, so decided to subscribe directly so she won't have to forward them to me. It looks like you are doing a good job there and enjoying the work. I don't envy you having to do your laundry by hand. Now you know 1st hand how the pioneer women of our country got by. That is something I've often thought about and wondedred how I would handle such. It must be even harder since you have had to regress to that when they knew no other way. My love Ferrell
To Linz Lindsey,
Good for you! You already have a new critter. He (or she) is so cute! We love you all and are praying for you. The whole family has been anxiously awaiting your post. Give our love to everyone. Love, Mrs. Debbie
Love to Joy Dear Joy,
You are doing a great job with the blog-site. Keep up the good work. Love, George
P.S. Just wanted you all to know how much I love my wife.
Sister from North MacArthur Churc in OKC Hello Jensen Family,
I am very thankful that you all had a safe trip. Thank you for sharing the work you all are doing in Africa. You are in my prayers. I would love to visit sometime and help with this work. I will wait and see if it is the Lord's will. Take care of yourself. Love, Marlene Williams
Missing You and Praying for you! Hello Jensen family. It's been so nice to keep up with you all through your blog, pictures and hard copy mission report. We are thinking of you and praying for you several times a day. I think Luke broke the camels back. Hmm. We always thought it was the straw...:o) We hope everyone gets over the tummy trouble soon. Dustin had a violent stomach bug. Very short lived, but debilitating. It went through Darren and Daniels families, we are hoping it doesn't hit all of us. We love you all. Debbie and family
Glad yall are getting settled... I loved the camel ride pic. Looks like you're all enjoying life here in Moshi... And we all really love having you here.
Hello from Stockton Hi! How are things in Tanzania? Looks like the camel ride is pretty fun. I hope some day we will be able to come visit. We love you.
Nicholas and Matthew
Our family has participated in numerous mission efforts over the last 20 years. In 2005, we had the great privilege of traveling together as a family to India, where we worked for one month. We began contemplating the idea of doing foreign mission work. In May of 2006, our whole family spent the month of May working in Malawi, Africa. During this trip, we observed the great need for more teachers and preachers in Africa. After much prayerful consideration, we made the commitment to move to Tanzania, Africa and work with a mission effort known as Tanzania 2000.
Our family arrived in Mos... full info
