The End
Congratulations guys! Looking forward to your trip report when you get home. Hope you have the 30+ mph southerly winds that we have here for your return trip. It would give you good gas mileage. Kent Keller

We really enjoy your blogs. . .
and get to travel vicariously with you. Wishing you a safe road trip home. Maybe we should take some lessons on packing light - - - have spent a good deal of 2 days packing for the trip home. Course we do occupy more space than you do. The owners of the house are to be here around 8 to inspect the place and we'll sign the contract with them for next year. Hope we're on the road no later than 9. Sending lv and hugs.

Ahoy Petenwell Mates!
Happy Birthday, Wayne! 65 is a good year -- Ican attest to that after a couple months try! Sounds like you two are having fun and some good sailing. We're envious! Start planning that Greek excursion when you have time after your naps! Diva is now parked in our driveway and awaiting some attention prior to having her bottom painted! She looks good and really lifted our spirits as we think ahead to launch! When will you be back? Jan and Jim

It sounds like your couple of salts now. You have had the spray in your face and you have swum in it. Thank you for sharing your traves with us. Take a picture of a map and let us poor yankees know more easily where you are. Today it is in the 50's here and the temps are to go down over the next few days. Live it up guys

Greetings from Fairhope
Hey guys, A couple of comments. 1) I'm jealous, 2) I think Wayne thew the coconut at Rick and missed, Rick was probably 10 feet away and Wayne could only throw it 5 feet, look he's about a hundred years old, 3) the big house in Fort Lauderdale looks like the house that was behind our hotel last year (small world), 4) don't forget to stop at Bahia Honda, 5) hurricane season starts June 1st, don't sojourn in too many places, 6) someone will be PO'd if you don't come back through Fairhope, 7) I told you you would not make it back to WI by Easter, I think thay have churches in Key West, maybe they do? who knows, 8) God speed, 9) ya'll remind me of Jessica Watson, no I think it's Forrest Gump when he ran across America like ten times for no particular reason :-), 10) I'm retiring tomorrow.

question
Hi Rick & Wayne, So when are you guys coming back to Wisconsin, and quit having so much fun? We are having beautiful weather here this week. Last Sunday was like summer, with around 60 degrees. Have been moving ahead with Coast Guard Auxiliary training, courses and meetings. Lorraine and I have both got uniforms now and getting to look pretty official. LaCrosse wants to groom me to be the Prairie du Chien flotilla commander, which is going to be more involved than I had anticipated. Cheers - Roger

Jealous
Hi Wayne, Enjoyed your pictures and trip description. Sure makes me want to think more seriously about trailering "Navy Too" to areas in Florida and the Carribean to enjoy like you did. Now if I can just figure out what to do with the dog and cats when we would travel like that. What did you do for keeping your batteries charged when you were on the water for so long? Did you run enough with the motor to do the job? How did you get your boat over to Florida? Cheers - Roger

one big boat
What about the beautiful sailboat in the back ground. it looks like a yal or a ketch(SP) the other thing is just a big thing. The trip had to be just fantastic thing to experience.

Wayne/Rick: Joan and I enjoyed visiting with you. Thanks for stopping. Noted that winds today will be fron WSW at 25-30. Should be great spinnaker run down the coast. Consider that you are much closer to Cuba than WI. In fact, you are closer to Cuba than us here in Titusville.....so don't get carried away and overshoot, and end up being accused of defecting.

Have a good trip!
It is good to hear that you are off to a good start. Sandhill cranes, Canada geese, blackbirds, and robins have suddenly appeared the last two days. Paul

I have done the canal, and much of that way.
Hi Wayne; I have sailed the ICW Canal from Port St. Lucie to Fort Meyers, and on up to Clearwater. The canal is 157 miles long. There is one bridge in Indian River, that opens to only 48 feet. WE were 49. It was an interesting endever. I have sust returned from southern Florida yesturday. Have fun, and keep in touch, Larry
