houses on silts
Hi girls. Hope you are well. I cannot believe there is a restaurant that serves rat! really? too weird. I just have to ask you both, how you both manage to look so great on such a strenous trip? I hope you are both feeling well. another question I have is when you think about coming back to your homes and settling back into your lives can you already sense the change in yourselves from experiencing and seeing all that you have so far? I love your blogs and photos. Have a great time. Be safe. Love, JJ

Thanks
Thanks for your blog. I am from Binh Thuy, about 15 minutes from Can tho, and haven't been back there since 1979. I am jealous of you. Have fun and be safe...from the rat meat. :)

Amazing Pics and great stories
Keep up the stories, they are priceless. Beautiful scenery too. Who would have thought about sand dunes and water in Nam.

Interesting
Hi girls. Once again you have amazing stories to tell and do it so well. I love the guide dog part and glad you posted a pic of her. Hope Stephanie is feeling better. Genny you take care so as not to get sick also. The temples in the mountain sides must have been amazing. the ruins from the 8th century mesmerizing. I am glad you both opted not to try and tackle the motorbikes. Sit with the bicycles! Have fun, be safe!!!!! Be well. regards, JJ

We went thru the hóstel we were staying at - Hanoi's Backpacker's Hóstel. Thêre are loads and loads òf places in Hanoi offering tours - some even cheaper then our hostel but we didn't know what we would get and felt more còmfortable just bôoking thru our hóstel

halong bay
Hey, just wondering, who did you go thru / who was the company that operated the halong bay tour? Sounds like theres lots of scams out there to be wary of so thought yours sounded good.... cheers

Hot fun!
I love this latest leg of your trip. Granted, the motor bike trip through the city sounded a little crazy and worrisome. The naked baby porn statues has me cracking up!!! Uncle Ray and my Mom both went through the shock of Dog in the meat market on their trip to Asia back in the 60s! they still remember it!!! So, you all sound like you are having quite the adventure. Keep up with the details even if they seem mundane to you. I am looking forward to the next chapter!!!! Have fun!!! be safe!!!!

When we went to Hanoi, Nobuko was so scared of crossing the street that her stomach hurt. It's a very cool city, though.
