I just imagined pictures of John Lenon on the walls of metro =)). Lenin would be correct.
"...Ferris wheel, commemorating 850 years of Soviet power..." "...Ferris wheel, commemorating 850 years of Soviet power..."
Soviet era began in 1917. And Ferris wheel commemorates 850th anniversary of Moscow. Cheers.
russia you not posting your blogs your entire stay in Russia made certain family members think that you were kidnapped and being help for ransom!! I mean before your trip we heard some negative things about Russia, after the 3rd day of no posts, i have got to tell you, i was getting a tad concerned myself. So, as of now, having to much fun is no longer a reason not to post, even if its to say you are having to much fun to take the time to post now, and will post later. got it :P
have fun in Austria, going to see the von trap family house??
love ya
re 1st time traveler to Europe He is not a first time traveller to Europe, that is why he chose these countries as he has been to Europe a few times in the past before. :P
What's Up! Mike,
Those fires are crazy huh. I figured you would watch the news about them after talking to Anabele yesterday. I already got 3 calls to go, but guess what, I am still in the office! Just a reminder, Engine 57 burnover happened a year ago this Friday! The 27th. Crazy huh, it seems like we were down there yesterday. Cathleen's team is in San Bern. and she is one of the people who called me and I really wanted to go because of that and these fires would be GREAT media experience. Gary went to the fires with his team on Sunday. I have a had a few media calls but not many. Mainly wanted footage of people packing up and leaving. Have you gone to the Vodka place yet? You better give me a full report. Hope your still enjoying your vacation. I was thinking last night and you are going to be gone on Halloween. Which means no scaring little kids and no decorations. How sad! Take care.
Good times... You lush! Don't worry about the weather turning bad anywhere man... it has been snowing here in Colorado like mad!
And that is crazy times... finding so many people to relate. It makes the trip much more fun, though.
oops! Love your blog! Sorry about your $$$ experience in Turkey! Go back to the "culture" seems to be less expensive and safer :). Tried to sent personal e-mail but couldn't get link to click on. Have fun the rest of your trip. We all miss you. Love, Aunt Pam.
DUH!!!!!!!!! Ummmm, were you not told before you even left for this trip to ask the cost of drinks before you ordered them, that certain places are just out for Americans... I would really love to razz you about this some more but being out $1200 dollars for a few drinks is enough!
Plus if i am to much of a butt i may not see any souviniers :P
love ya bro and be careful
Lame Sorry to hear about the girls luring you in to a scam... am glad you got out of the total sum, but even the police know what is going on and will still do as they did, make you pay largely for it. Don't blame ya though... a gullible American guy kickin it with some hot European trash... NEVER! haha
Don't let one bad experience ruin the rest of your trip man... lots more to see and do, so no fret!
Good to hear you're having fun! Hi MIKE!
It's Megan, your loyal public affairs intern. Just wanted to drop a line and say hey! I checked out your blogs and it sounds like you're doing awesome. Poland sounded like it was really an amazing place, and I think it's really cool you're doing parts of Europe that most first-time international travelers don't do - like Turkey. Anyways, just wanted to say hi and have fun and be careful!

Typical American...... Typical American just because they don't speak English in their country doesn't mean they shouldn't speak it for me...... he he he love ya dude, though work was hella hard today!! Have fun with Jez in Moscow!
Hey Mike! Sounds like you are having a blast over in jolly old London. If you are in the mood to see another show, I highly recommend the Lord of the Rings theater production - so nerdy I know, but it was actually really cool! I just saw it when I was over there last month. Thanks for doing this blog, it's fun to read about what you're up to!
