diving I don't even like water trickling on my face when I am in the shower, so I am in awe of you both. Am loving the updates and the photos are fantastic.

How cool, Jim!! (diving) Wow, Jim your dive sounds fantastic. I am not on facebook, so cannot see the photos, but your description of it all was wonderful. Well done you. (diving can be very difficult and getting used to it so fast is a feat, imho)
Now you do KNOW that even at your most DESPERATE, never to buy a drink that even LOOKS like the seal on the bottle has been broken, don't you???
When you get back I am SO going to get you for going to everywhere I haven't yet.... *fumes quietly* (this is only good for Jim. Flic can do as she likes......!)
BRILL Thanks for these - I am NOT part of the wonder of facebook, so the links are HUGELY appreciated ! It's great to see what you are up to....
What's that bottle behind the.....????
PREGGERS is hot, busy and a little bit dirty ? (well, yes actually; I remember it well....)
You really are weird. Now remember your butties for the next train ! But I envy you both.
Err Ok, you both sound a little trippy? Too much sun perhaps? Not enough food? Crazy, the pair of you!
Put some sunscreen on! Cover up in the sun! Put on a hat! Wear your sunglasses. Don't look at me like that Jim, I am only nagging because I care.
Crazy buggers. Keep having fun.
steak!!! really enjoying reading your blogs. it all sounds very exciting. just a thought flic.. the steak was a great leap of faith, hope it moo'ed and didn't bark!!!!!!(just kidding...)
YOU WAIT (2ND) If you think it's all hustle and bustle in Vietnam you wait till you arrive in Bangkok, the motorbikes and tuk-tuk's are 2nd to none. So dont cross the road, green cross code dont work out there. Use the walk ways OVER the traffic !!
Enjoy!!
Chopsticks You can eat with chopsticks. I am so proud of you :) It sounds like you are having oodles (noodles) of fun and I cannot wait to see some photos.
Miss ya!
Flic, keep him in line!

Yay Glad to see you've arrived safely, looking forward to seeing the photos.
#40G8!
(you may need to ask a nearby Russian to translate that for you ;-) )
Metro Madness Yeah I found the moscow metro quite difficult to work out, there's an almost total lack of metro maps once you decend the escalator. What I did was memorise the name of all the stops I needed to get on and off at before I went down, because I knew it was impossible to work it out once you got down there!
If you're into imposing Stalinist architecture be sure to check out Moscow state university, it truly is an epic building!
Moscow Metro Isn't the Metro GREAT - even the Russians in St Petersburg counted the stations cos the names are so small you can't see them even if you CAN read Cyrillic (SO can, but...)
Have a GREAT trip ! Hope you can see us all following your progress xxxxx
We're both Gap Year students, taking a year out before Uni.
We are going by train from Kent (UK) where we live, to Thailand, and perhaps further...
The countries we are stopping in are: Belgium, Germany, Russia, China, Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand and Laos.
We should be gone for at least 6 months.
In Thailand we are doing 2 months orphanage work - one with RealGap, and the other privately. ... full info
