Happy travels We miss you at work (or at least everyone keeps asking when you're coming back) and I hope that you're doing well.
Safe traveling. Hope you continue to have a wonderful time.
Hey, am I having deja vu? I recognize those pictures! You couldn't have described Santorinin and Ios any better. I also went to Murphy's, watched the sunsets in Oia, stayed at Far Out Camping, and of course started every evening out with a flaming lambroghini while visiting the islands. I was wondering what they put in those drinks that made them so delicious. Only difference was, instead of 90% Italian, it was more like 70% Australian. Watch out for those jelly fish when skinny dipping!
The Best! You are lucky to be there!
Take it all in....it is the most beautiful place on the planet (and I`ve travelled A LOT)
It is a magical place...... Lucky bastard!
Good Times Well Peter, believe it or not I did make it to the beach on the last day! Great to read your blog, it brings it all back. We'll have to write a song about it. Donnchadh
Got to love Ios! Peter!
I think that I stayed at the same hotel when I was in Ios. So fun!
btw - I even have a pictures in the exact same spot. Too funny!
Sounds like you are having a blast! Love getting your blog updates! Keep us posted as we are all so jealous of you!
Safe travels,
Jenn
Livin the dream Father, your blog has made its way around our class, keep up the good work and let me know when you are coming back to Seattle. Schaake and I are off to Costa Rica for 2 weeks and then down the Peru to meet Lampitt for a hiking trip. Let's swap stories when you get into town. Bon voyage, Gav
Paris of the East Great Blog. Had a good laugh about your fanny pack idea - certainly won't catch on in Oz though without some modifications! Also who really holds the Paris of the East title? 'Irkusk (Siberia) and Beirut both seem to think they've got it...!
Actually, my very good friend, fashion fanatic Katie, bought (and has been wearing) a Coach phanny pack that she bought last Februrary '05 in Las Vegas. I still make fun of her for it, but knowing her fashoin sense, I would say she'd right on target... people LOVE it! It's growing on me... but I still can't help but think of my own neon purple phanny pack from 4th grade, ewww! Thanks for keeping us all up to date with all the new styles!
Peter,
You photos are beautiful and I love your stories. You should really become a travel journalist.
Wish I was on such an amazing trip. I'm getting the travel itch!
We miss you back here in NYC. See you in a few months!
Hugs,
Jenn
Love the photos Pete - your photos are really wonderful and give texture to your commentary. Thank you for sharing. Hopefully, your dad and I will be able to see all of your trip photos one of these days. Personally, I was ready to hop a plane to Slovenia -- but then again, I think I'll wait until the current airport crisis has faded.
Good traveling. Can't wait to hear of new adventures.
Lasko's Pete, how many Lasko's into the night were you to climb into a doorless room with two grungy mattresses! It's great to read your blogs knowing you are on to your next adventure and are still alive!
Peter the ferocious Looks like that photography class really paid off... your pictures are amazing! I wish I could have gone to Spain when I was in Europe, next time for sure. Sounds like you are making lots of new friends along the way, unfortunately not with the stray animals. From your journal entry I would have expected your scary "it" encounter to have been with a cat... I know how evil you think they are. If you are to take up any new European hobbies, may I please suggest learning a new language... it is much healthier than smoking. It's great reading about all your travels!
Grate Tymes Hahhh! Sounds like you are having a great time! World Cup Fever had to be amazing... I felt it in bars in the city, I can only imagine the roar of the crowd in the stands!!! Hope you are very well, and keep enjoying yourself. Oh, and good pictures BTW.
World Cup fever and beyond Hey Pete - love the blog, nice to be able to travel with ya while I'm in my office in San Diego. My buddy Dave Bunch is in Madrid for most of July so if you make it that far hit me up for his contact info. Heard Barcelona and northern Spanish coast is awesome. I only did Madrid, Valencia and Ibeza when I was there in '01. I do have contacts in Bangkok when you're heading to Thailand. Know folks in Vienna as well as Geneva. Have fun and keep writing brotha! Cheers!
Blog feedback Pete,
Fun to read about you experiences. Keep writing! Your pictures are great! Glad to see you are enjoying your experience. We missed you on the 4th....the usual crowd plus Pat and his girlfriend. Keep in touch!
