Whatever No, of course not... at least I thought so until I've seen photos of you and the girl you had a crush on back in High School. And the way you and your friends behaved when the girls showed up at the wedding... well... no comment!
P.s. Howcome you never look like that when we are on photos together?! Don't get too comfy around me ;)
Good times Sometimes I'm not very talkative but you know what happens once I am... My stories contain millions of unnecessary details and are never ending! Viva my diary and my excellent memory! Happy Days!!!
diary Sawadee kaa! No, this is the official nice version. In my diary I rather write things like "gosh, K's so annoying!!!" and "don't know how much longer I can stand him" ;) No but seriously, we had a good time. Thank you once again for showing me so so much of your beautiful country and for introducing me to your culture and language.
Speaking of language, the fact that I didn't reach my goal of becoming fluent in Thai after traveling with you for just two weeks must certainly be blamed on your lack of teaching skills. Can most certainly not be because of me not being able to learn and remember that fast ;) May pen Lai kaa ;) Kob kun Kaa!!!

thank you so so much Hej Fabienne,
thank you very much for your information:) , you are really helpful person:) the home stay really looks great but little bit out of our budget, as we still have too travel half year( maybe more..hehe).......i think if you have a Thai friend, it is more easy to try something local
Anyway, we are going to Bangkok tomorrow, i am very happy about that:)
have a nice day...thank you:)
Leelawadee Ampawa Homestay Hey Grace, this is definitely a nice place to stay as well. At the time I traveled with my Thai friend and he simply googled it "homestay by the river". Here's the link http://www.baansuanleelawadee.com/MainEN.asp?Lang=EN. I have to say though that this home stay is a lot posher than the one in Chiang Mai and it also cost a lot more. We only stayed one night and paid 1200 THB. However, we had air con :)
Ampawa is about 30 minutes south of Bangkok. The home stay itself is not actually that easy to find. I also have to say that most of the staff doesn't speak English. Again, I was in Thai company. No idea how you manage if your Thai is as limited as mine but it'd surely be an adventure :)
Yes it's really small. It only has four rooms. If you go during the week you might have the whole place to yourself like we did. It's supposed to be busier on weekends.
I can't really tell you how to find nice home stays. I got most of them by chance or had it organized by someone else. I was just lucky I guess.
Have a save trip!
You're welcome Hey Grace, you're very welcome. Thailand is an awesome country and I'm sure you'll love the Boonmee. Nepal sounds good too. I'm currently in Australia :)

I'm 24 years old and from Switzerland. I've already spent quite a bit of time abroad. I've studied in various countries for four years and have also done quite a bit of traveling. This time however I am going to be on the road for four and a half months (part 1 of my trip) and it's my first time as a bag packer. I really don't know what to expect but I'm definitely up for the new experiences and challenges to come. Through this travel blog I want to give you the possibility to read about my adventures :)... full info

Oh come on, like they'd really bite you. I only feel sorry for not having air con. Other than that you have no reason to complain ;)
