credit card nightmare You should try taking out cash from your credit card, if you know the PIN. Just make sure to pay it off to avoid higher interest rates on cash advances. Or, remember that Western Union is an international phenomenon.
I'm so glad you went to the Salt Mines! I'm jealous...we were just reminiscing today about the statue of the Polish Pope!!
If you still have time in Czech, and you can handle something like this, there's a bone decorated entirely in bones in Kutna Hora, about 30 minutes by train from Prague. There's a massive Catholic church in the town as well.
conservation maybe when you get home you can get people to conserve the way u have learned there, i will buy a brita and you can hang my clothes to dry next to yours any time you wish. but really i think its a fab idea i want my grandchildren and greatgrandchildren to have a place to raise families that isn't destroyed by us.. be safe my little chirpy, we miss you lots. luv mommy XXX0000
Hey girl! sounds like you are having a great time. It is from traveling that you learn you don't need to have many things, those are not important. It is from seeing how others live that you can change the way you live and still be ok.
From living abroad, I am more conservative than the average American; however, living here, it certainly does make it difficult to actually put some of the energy saving things into work. I can't find anywhere to recycle. You would think it would be easy, from glass to plastic, cans, but in two years, I can't seem to find a place to make it easy enough to recycle.
anyway, love the blog, keep it up!
omg I was sooo the conservation Nazi when I got back from oz! I've been slipping though. Thanks for reminding me I need to start being like that again lol!
Polska!!! Erin, I wish I was with you!!!! Krakow is one of my favoritest places in the whole world! If you need any recommendations about what to see/do, let me know!
ireland well i knew u would love that place, wow it sounds wonderful. i am so happy u have found nice people to experience things with, dad is jealous about the guiness though. be safe my little chirpy and call home soon. love mommy XXXXXOOOOO
the glen connection that is awesome! four years later and that guy still works there. he was very nice, and if i remember, not so bad looking either. bit of a flirt. either way, very accomodating. i'm sorry to hear that you haven't been able to see much of the sun in ireland. i was blessed to have the most beautiful day i've ever seen in ireland when i went to dun aenghus, which definintely made a difference.
sligo, which is great, is more known for it's scenery and w.b. yeats' grave. it's not like a hip, party town. but one of the highest peaks in ireland is there, and it's so stunning.
we love you. blessings on your trip!
The Irish probably all emigrated to the US in the last two centuries...or maybe they're on holiday in Europe while you're on holiday there!! I do know there are a LOT of Poles and Lithuanians there...look out for beets and cabbage!
don't be discouraged! dublin was not my place either. you may not like cork either. you will like galway or sligo, and of course the islands! try to do the lakes of killarney and the ring of kerry. i know you will love it! xoxo
wooohooo Love the pics and stories so far. Can't wait to hear about Ireland. Any chance you're planning on going to Krakow? LOL. I'm starting to consider Krakow over Prague. Wanna scope it out for me hehe?
ps I love the "Reesha punting" pic. Very cool. :)
I'd Rather Be Punting. . . Hello!
So I went kayaking last weekend. It was awesome. We'll have to do that when you get back. But it was an adventure. I launched off the beach into open water with a buddy, so we made it over the first wave, but the second one hit us and totally flipped the boat. So it washed him, me and the boat up the shore. It also washed away my sunglasses.
But your pictures continue to amaze. That looks like a lot of fun, and what a beautiful part of the country! Geeze, and I thought UCLA was beautiful, look at Kings College. (named for me of course)
love ya!

OH MAN! Grant how cool, I would have loved to meet them. There is no way they are as kind or as funny as you but it still would have been pleasant. lol :) I had no idea I would pass through there either, just so happened to be the only person that could host me. I hope all is well at home! Love you all lots! xoxo
Kingston! If you keep writing all these wonderful stories we are going to go buy tickets and try and catch up with you!
Kingston, by the way, is where all my English family is from and still live, I wish I would have known you were going through there. I have an Aunt, 4 cousins (and spouses) and 8 nieces and nephews who would have gladly hosted you for a night or two!

I'm so jealous! I like the picture of you with the signature green coat with the hood. It's probably traveled to more places than I have so I guess I envy it too.
Any ways, you keep having lots and lots of fun and keep the updates coming. chau!
