You don't know me but. . . . . Well done! I've been checking out these blogs for a while now as I'm taking the wife out to Ko Tao for her 1st scuba experience next month. Not only was this piece one of the best descriptive blogs we've seen so far - but - You have persuaded a very nrevous spouse that she needs to do the same! Many many thanks describing so well exactly what life is all about!!
Happy Trails,
Chris. :-)
Diving blog I just recently resumed reading your blogs after the Christmas holidays and our bout with the flu. Gosh, what an experience, especially diving and seeing the sea life up close. You should send some of the pictures to National Geographic, you never know. I love turtles, something from when we were young and went for our "summer" holidays to the beach in Karachi. We would stay for a week in a hut, Mum and at least four of us kids, with a cook and on the weekend my Dad and a few friends would come to visit us and sit on the beach at night. I can still see the turtles coming out of the water at night and getting onto the beach to lay their eggs, which we would discover the next morning, after digging in the sand. You write very well and I can almost feel travelling with you from cyberspace. We will send you Terry's cousin's phone number in Goa if you need a contact. I am sure India is going to be an eye opener. Enjoy the rest of your trip.
fun times! you're guys' stories are so inspiring...i love it..i love hearing about all your adventures...you're so lucky to be able to all this :)
I hope we have a chance to chat soon Rin, I need your encouragement in some travel matters...my trip is drawing near and I'm getting a little scared!
Season's Greetings This is just to let you know that we are thinking of you basking away on a sunny beach while we are enjoying a white Christmas. The temperature here in Winnipeg is supposed to plummet to a high of minus 12 on Christmas day! (Actually, that's practically balmy for this part of the world.) Anyway, have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year you two.
thats interesting! when linds and i were in uruguay we caught many a movie for about $3 each...we could even drink beer in the theatre!
one night when we went to see TROY (Troya in Spanish) it happened to be their nation's birthday...it was a long song...very dramatic and classical...everyone was really into it...we stood...but it was really uncomfortable...we didnt know the words...and giggled a bit...great memory though!
So Much Fun!! Sounds like you guys are having an absolute ball!!! How has the McDonald's been cpmpared to Canada? Your pictures are just fantastic too!! Can't wait to see you guys :)
RMB RMB stands for Renminbi which is the currency used in China. Also referred to as Yuan. The exchange rate is roughly 8RMB (or Yuan) per American dollar. (I know we're Canadian, but it's easier to calculate 8 instead of 7.whatever) :)
Hmmm It depends, anonymous...Give me your identity and I can share with you my greatest secrets about my superhero crime fighting dog...Obviously you know me well enough to have me on msn, otherwise you wouldn't know about the abilities of my pooch. ;)
ps-I'm gonna take a guess that this is Lindsay in Halifax? Message me next time you're online and I'll tell you all about it.
this tower you are talking about is called the oriental pearl tower, and yeah i think it is leaning cause in the pictures i have it seems to be leaning aswell but in real life you dont really notice it, well at least i didnt!!
leaning tower of Bund? i googled the Bund and there is a tall building, maybe the one you mentioned, and its got a ball at the bottom and a ball at the top and it looks like its LEANING..do you know anything about that?
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!! HAPPY BIRTHDYA!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY RINSTAH!!!!! HOPE YOU HAVE AN AWESOME DAY!!!!! Perhaps we will be able to chat later...looks like you're out partyin'. probably too late, but there's this site that can be awesome if you find yourself stuck sleeping in the airport. I've gotten a few good tips when stuck in an airport with 8 hours to wait and needing sleep. (Best area to sleep, etc...)
Beijing doesn't look to have too many tips. But keep in mind for other airports?
