Trees & Shrubs!! Gooood morning!
I saw your tenant the other day, grass is on half your yard... on one side of your cement walkway, the bigger part is still dirt although it looks ready to go. Your cute little shrubs arrived and are sitting in pots on the front waiting to be planted... looks like its allll coming together. I might lay some sod with your tenant in the backyard.....we'll see!! You would be amazed how much more construction is complete in your area since you left... its incredible how quickly they throw it up. It felt so private in your backyard and on your street given that most houses are at least framed on the entire street as well as all the boulevard on both sides and going further down the street.... I will take some pictures when the landscaping is done... how do I post them?!
As for your blog... sounds like more exciting times... I must admit, I do enjoy living vicariously through you two! Enjoy the squatters...sounds like you are right used to them now...I can arrange to have all your bathrooms refitted for squateers upon your return! ha ha
Have Fun guys
Question for you Dev Hey,
Still sounds like you are both having a good time, and Erin has mastered the acient art of squatting ;) How much is an apple macbook pro Devlin? Is it cheaper than here?
Thanks keep the stories coming.

Heather! Hello! I'm so sorry, I meant to reply to your email before we left but time just ran out!! I also forgot to write down your email address, and now I can't access the email account you wrote to me in. Can you please email me at devlin.erin@gmail.com or post it here? I looked at your Pole to Pole site, Heather you are one amazing individual. I hope you get selected and please keep me posted as I would love to follow your experience if you do. You sound like you are really happy and doing well, you look beautiful in the pics you sent. One day our paths will cross again, I know it. Until then, we'll keep in touch through technology. Thank you for the kind words, sending love and hugs and light right back at you! :D Erin <3
Okay, last one - scroll down for Japan on a budget page!! It has the kanji's for free, discount, all you can eat etc...

WOW! Hey Erin and Dev,
LOOOOONG time no see/contact. Just wanted to send you a little note saying that it is truly a pleasure to see you out in the world enjoying what other cultures have to offer the development of your human experience. Isn't it wonderful? I am so honored that I have been a part of your inspiration and NOW...the tables have turned, now I am inspired by YOU...and a little envious too!
I truly look forward to more awesome journals of your travels and do dream that our paths may cross somewhere someday soon!
Much love and warmth and light,
Heather
K&A in Feb They are meeting us in Thailand most likely! They are going to China and SE Asia for a month, meeting up with their friend who teaches in China. Maybe you can come too and it will be a mass get together?? Haha! Keep the comments coming, we REALLY LOVE reading them, from all of you!! <3<3<3
Is your room private? That looks like totally awesome living quarter's, however you need to try sleeping on a tatami floor mat!!!
What do you think of the toilets? Have you mastered the usage yet? I really liked Japanese showers...the option to sit down or stand up...and the western toilets I used were neat...washing your hands in the water that would then flush the toilet...it was clean! and saves water!
I never got to see the Harajuku kids...I have a really cool book of photos of them though called Fruits.
I <3 gyoza! I have found gyoza at the supermarket recently thats super low fat and soooo easy to make...and so tasty!
Are you kids staying at a love hotel in Kyoto?
There are a lot of wannabee Geisha there, but if youre lucky, if you wander the side and back streets of Gion? you might run into one on the way to 'work' ;) Its too bad we both missed the Cherry Blossom's...
You'll like Kyoto...it was my favourite place to visit there!
2 things to try Woot! You arrived!
2 things to try that you can get in the 7/11 are:
lemon water and aloe and grape water
the lemon water is roughly 500ml...i think the bottle is fairly clear and a yellow top and yellow label with of course image(s) of lemons SO TASTY!
and the aloe and grape water comes in an approximate 250ml carton...its white...with i think green and purple graphic(s)?! also SUPER TASTY! they should have some decent sandwiches in there too
i liked the nuggets in japan...thank god i had someone to translate most things for me!
Ultraman!! Nice work on finding ultraman :) I am glad to see you are having a good time in Japan, I wish I could have been there for the electronics outting you went on today. I would have loved it. Keep the blog entries coming and take more pic's if you can.

Where was that one?!?! I also spoke to Andrew to get the site he was looking at to translate things like soap...he gave it to me, but the damn thing only showed squares!!!! So I found one myself that seemed rto work out for me if you are ever in the need of translating something: it's http://www.freedict.com/onldict/jap.html or the one that Andrew was on is http://babelfish.altavista.com/ in case it works for you...either way good luck! Miss you both Terribly!!!! :(:(:(:(:(:(:( But have fun...and see you in February WAHOO!
OOOPS! This will be fast and dirty as 1500 kids are coming through the doors. Our internet at home crashed on Thursday night - go figure. The only time in my life hwn I actually wanted to spend some time on it. Didn't get any of your messages except the first one until I arrived at school this morning. Will work on getting it fixed ASAP. This all sounds so marvellous. Can't wait to have the time to read through them all.
Have to run. Stay HEALTHY!.

Awwww... special request.... schucks :$ I like the wood door knobs... tres cool! Amazing how much room your stuff takes up when its not jam packed and sealed in your packs!! The room is actually what I imagined... maybe that is because you showed us some pics before you left...and I remember the RED bunkbeds :D
Ok, maybe I wont bother sending Japanese characters to you, I just read my last entry and the japanese is all garbled... doh! I hope it comes through to you guys.. :D
I think the best part of the self piercers is the name... "Safety Piercer"... like its the safer way to do it or something... ha ha ha. Its funny the shrines and some buildings are exactly as I pictured them in my mind! Cant wait to see the next stop on "our" trip... we are there with you arent we?!?! Okay, maybe it just seems like it :p You should send pics of your room... interested to see...
PS - Anti-bacterial Soap is spelt Í0Ìnóx... might not be a bad thing to find ;)
Ahhhh... our wonderfully injury-prone friends!! :D:D Ok, so Kimberley squealed when she saw the cat sticker with the tail caught :p How frickin cute is that?!?! And about that elephant sign... my best cdn guess is that because everyone is so small there that they dont want any "elephant people" (fat people) in the store... they wont fit.. ha ha ha, yeah no elephant people inside. Classic. Im scared our suitcases will be full of misc. tshirts and stickers to bring home when we come to see you. OMG is it February yet?!?!? It hasnt even been a full week and we are experiencing EDA withdrawals.... Save some Melon soda for Kimberley...she is salivating as we read!!! Hooray American restaurants!! :p You HAVE to try the cake in the can.... how delicious...and nonperishable!!! ha ha ha Maybe good for your never ending Ferry Ride? Oh Japan....what stories you have to tell! Keep blogging, we wake up every morning and check it first thing...its our new routine :D Love you guys... our world travelling buddies...! }WDB’NWjUD ...that means "Have Fun"!!
