Haha. It's fun here, but daily life is definately similar to home. Get up, go to school, do homework, etc. I'm afraid to say that my writing technique is pretty bad when it comes to this type of diary thing though. >_< I shall have to get tips from the English teachers back home (and not embarrass myself by showing them this lol). ^_~
Squid has a funny texture, like it's partly frozen, but it tastes ok. I think like your cookies more! =D
hello! sorry to comment so randomly on your blog. :) i've always wanted to visit japan and you seem to give an interesting account of your daily life there. do you mind if i follow your blog?
Hello Hi Arielle,
I continue to be amazed at your wonderful blogs. They are so interesting and informative. You are certainly having an amazing adventure. Have you become a squid fan?
All the best.

Thank you. I'm really glad for the oppurtunity. I must agree. The scenery is exquisite with all the mountains and greenery. =] I would like to add pitures, but I'm afraid that I've been borrowing my families computer, and therefore can't upload them onto here. I'll try to add photos when I go back home though.
Haha, it's gotten better I think, or I've gotten use to it. =/ Still very funny, despite the slight awkwardness. Everyone means well I'm sure.
Ah, are you an ALT (assistant language teacher) then? I hope you ahve fun in Osaka. がんばりましょう!
Wow! You're so lucky to be studying abroad in Sapporo! Northern Japan and Hokkaido is absolutely beautiful! Not to mention the beer there, is top notch ;D (I assume you're a tad too young to drink though).
Anyway- I'm jealous! I would love to get a chance to live in Northern Japan! You should consider adding some pictures to your journal entries- at least be sure to take pictures and keep them for your own memories/records.
Haha. Looks like you can't escape high school awkwardness and drama no matter where one goes? :P Japan is no exception to this I see. But, try being open to making new friends and not getting too "weirded out" by the differences between cultures.
Sorry for the long comment, but I'm also going to be studying abroad in Japan this fall- and I like reading others stories about their study abroad experience. I'm going to be in Osaka- wish it were Hokkaido though! =P
Have a fun semester. がんばってよ!
You survived! You not only survived your first day of school, it seems like you really enjoyed yourself. Thanks for your detailed explanation of your adventures. It seems like you are quite the centre of attention (you are cute!). たのしそうです!

Lol. Isn't that wonderful. >_> What's Bingling gonna do? Wooot! Way to go Charmander! I applaud you. Going to the airport then?
Definately. After grad trip?
Thanks for the offer, I'll definately take it, if not here, then oncde I'm back.
I'll try. I'll definately try. Just wait... can I get arrested? Do they count as firarms, or bombs or something?! Lol. I'll see what I can do.
Not gonna lie, the store is kinda falling apart. But you needn't worry about that any more . . EX-partner =)
Brian does still remain loyal . . . and I don't know about Kitty, I haven't worked with her in almost a month =(
The thing about the grass sounds sooooo cool !!! So yes, we must re-visit NYC very very very very soon
Charmander!!!!! Lol. I'll try. There were short ice cups. ^_~
I've only been there once so far. I don't think I'll be an addict anytime soon. >_> How's Brian's addiction doing. Kitty still trying to cut him off?>_<
I miss you all so much!
Aww, hotaru are pretty. When we all go to New York again, we should wonder around Central Park around dusk, or later (although that probably isn't safe, so let's stay near the entrance?), and there's this weird grass that when you brush against it the right way, makes a kind of spark, similar to the hotaru! =] Pretty!
おはいよう/A very early morning. It is currently 9:12 AM August 17. (I alway forget to check for comments. =) However, at the time you wrote it was about 9:00 PM. =]
I am enjoying Sapporo very much! たのしかたでした!I hope I'm learning a lot of Japanese! I just bought new manga, so the goal is to be able to read them and understand the majority of it! That, and be able to read a cook book. >_<
Thank you for writing, and I hope everyone is well in Calgary!
I miss you! I'm so excited to see everything that you bring back =3
Perhaps even some new drink ideas to the store?!
Just becareful about all that coffee you are drinking, or you might turn into a caffeine addict. Permanently.
I wish there were hotaru here too ...

Sukiyaki , Ummm Yummy! A quick cultural knowledge for ya!, Sukiyaki is considered as a high priced meal for an averaged income family. We eat Sukiyaki when we have a special event or special guests. So, here you go. I am happy to hear that they are treating you great.
