Have Fun! I am glad you are enjoying Caracas! I lived there from 1988 to 2001. I had to leave to the US to get a good paying job. My family is still there and I go there about 2 times a year.
The Venezuelans are the best people! the most sociable, and always wanting to have fun! Everytime I go there, I hang out with my old time friends, and parties last until the next day. In october I was there for wedding that lasted until 5 am in the morning.
I hope you continue to enjoy it, and share experiences with Venezuelans!
Please be careful, and always go with people you know, and be as safe as possible, more so if you are hanging out with "wealthy" people.
strange foods haha em i know the feeling, i have myself sampled many strange foods-particularly the rat was hard to get your head around but tasted delicious..once you got over the fact you were eating it..and the tarantula and cricket-well that was just close your eyes and bite-but ant i am yet to sample...sounds yummy!!
miss you lots xxx
XD Have you ever thought about studying antropology? you`re pretty good at it, and you`ve a storyteller feeling that`s totally cool. One can only hope that your adventures here won`t end soon.
I totally agree with you, baseball is the most boring game ever, unless you`re drunk. But then again, everything seems to be better when you`ve danced with Mr. Booze a little too much. Take care.
hi emma, i really like your entry!!! it really reminds me on this crazy city....and believe me: i´m really really really missing it!!! can´t describe this strange feeling to be "back home"....europe doesn´t seem to be my home anymore after all those great experiences. so, keep enjoying your time, i miss you and look forward to visit you in stockholm sometime!! te mando muchos besos!
