Chuckle Oh Emily! You always give me a chuckle. Of course, had I been there with you when you found the hornets' nest, I wouldn't have been chuckling. I doubt you had any concern about a frog landing on your head. Your concern was, no doubt, that you lost the frog.
I love these blogs. I'll be checking Facebook for the pictures.
I love you, Emily
Grandma
Em, Even tho you were home and I got to see you and talk to you, it is still so great to hear from you! Your writings are great! They make me laugh and allow pictures in my head. I truly enjoyed picturing you when you thought there was a huge spider on your head! Thanks for the update and the laugh!
Again! I guess the trip wasn't as bad as it made me feel for you when I was reading it. You are going again! I find all your blogs interesting. I am gald you didn't step on a snake or fall on a stubble. How many cattle does Erick have on his ranch? Does his wife live there? We ate a lot of beef when we were kids because we raised beef. We'd ate some fresh and froze the rest. Dad sold some, too.
What an experience. You are amazing Emily. I've been looking at lots of pictures, many from when our grandchildren were you, Carl, and Ryan then continued on to all 7. What precious babies. We must sit and look at them when you come home. I tried to see the personality of that little Emily that is yours today. I'd say you have the same precious spirit. I couldn't see that you would be an adventurer.
Thanks for your blog. Your trip was very interesting.
My love to you,
Grandma
:) Hi grandma! He has a about 50 cattle there. He actually didn't come back with us this time because he had to stay and take care of a calf. I didn't know that your family raised cattle. It wouldn't have been so bad if it could have been frozen; it was having smoked meat the same way every day that we didn't like. His wife lives in boquete, but she hiked out with us. She came this time as well.
Your kitty is so cute! Hi, Em! It was wonderful to hear from you again! I just finally got around to reading your blog, although Grandma had shared with me the frightening events of your hike! I'm so glad you're all okay and that you are making friends. It sounds as though things are as positive as they can be and that you are having a wonderful experience. And Minerva is adorable! You are really living a full life there--even a pet! I'm very happy for you! Take care!
Interesting I read your blog 3 times. It is very interesting. And--your eye and the snake are, well--I don't know what to say. I'm happy to hear it after the fact and that all of you are well! Minerva is adorable. She should be a help with the other critters at your house. "shiver shiver"
As far as having friends and being with people, that has really changed, hasn't it? I am no longer concerned that you are sitting alone in your house all weekend.
It is to get really cold here this week. We'll have to look at our pictures of Panama and put our minds there to get warm. We still talk about things from that trip. It was so wonderful. I printed 7 selected pictures and carry them with me. I've shown them often.
Take care of yourself. Stay healthy and whole. I didn't like to think of you walking home late New Year's eve.
I am so thankful that we could spend some time with you. We love you and are so proud of you.
Grandma
XXXOOO
Soon! I love the pictures and, of course, your words. I'm glad to hear you are doing some good eating!
Wow! It won't be long! I've been doing a lot of thinking and laying things out to take. It will be so good to see the places and people you write about. I've been very busy and haven't been looking at email--not even going near the computer because it sucks me in. Reading your blog is all I am doing right now. I'm going to CVS to print some pictures to take with me to Released Time this afternoon.
I love you,
Grandma
Sexy Lingerie Em, Oh, so funny! Pappy thinks they look like men's boxer shorts. (I don't particularly enjoy shopping either.)
We are busy today getting ready for the church's Christmas dinner this evening. That will take most of the day. My washing machine died yesterday so we will be purchasing a new one on Monday.
We really enjoy hearing from you, and we love you.
ive missed you! So glad to read news from you! I figured your life had gotten more exciting and you just didn't have time to write. :) Praise the Lord for the propane! Great news! And I love that you're getting to travel. All sounds great and you'll have visitors soon! I'll be looking forward to hearing about the Christmas party! Aunt Amy
What did you say? Hi Emmy, I'll say you are learning more Spanish or something because the first paragraph you wrote I didn't understand a blessed thing you said.
I sure enjoy reading your blogs. It sounds like you are doing very well down there in Panama. Grammy and I love you very much. We miss those Emmy hugs.
Grammy needed you here to carry water to her. She has laryngitis and was very sick yesterday.
Love ya,
Pap and Gram
Language I don't know Spanish and don't expect to learn it. You will learn it better than learning in any class. I'll depend on you, Julia, and Weston when I am in Panama with you. I am very impressed with your first paragraph, but you could actually be saying anything!
Always so good to hear from you.
Love,
Grandma
Laundry Dear Emily,
Did you wash all of this in one load? You knew I would ask that. If you did, that could affect the spin cycle. It could affect some other things too!
I am soooo looking forward to seeing you.
I love you,
Grandma
Hey--frog girl!
Do you kiss each frog to see if he turns into a handsome and rich prince? I'm assuming that none have so far.
Pap was hunting this week, but he didn't get a deer. Uncle Dale got a nice 8-point buck. I've been nursing a sinus infection for several days. It's been a busy week for us with other activities, too.
We haven't done much of our Christmas decorating yet and haven't decided whether we will even put up the tree this year.
We really enjoy hearing from you. Please be careful and take care of yourself.
Love,
Pap and Gram
Great! I am so excited that you got to spend some time with similar English speaking people. What a story! Grandpa said this is long! I just read it the second time. It requires a comment. I was sad that you had to spend your weekends alone; this made up for it.
It was also great talking to you, listening to you, and seeing you Saturday. We had a nice time. See you soon! We love you and are proud of you.
