YAY Shopping! And shopping at night! I think internet shopping is pretty great, but only b/c the stores aren't open late at night. Guess I'm just in the wrong country! Tee hee! And ya gotta love the irish (as one of them, i'm a bit partial)...always up for a drink...sounds like they keep your schedule, zabe! and such a competitive bowler - sheesh! note to self: order much beer when bowling with Zabe but don't drink any...might have a fighting chance...
Tiger Balm thanks Kristine for conscientiously reading my blog! :) considering the omnipresence of tiger balm and the fact that tiger poaching is illegal and that Thailand, at least, is working on protecting the remaining tiger population.... I am 99% sure that tiger balm is not from tigers but is from essential oils. either way, I haven't bought any. :)
wonderful trip I just finished catching up on your adventure, and now will consult an atlas to trace your steps.. Good to hear from you and good luck on your continued journey... also hope the olympic lottery finds you.
Tour Guide WOW! What a wonderful happening. This will definitely have to be a special highlight of your travels. Would that everyone that you meet is so wonderful.
Happy Christmas Mate! You updated your blog! It's a Christmas miracle! Seriously Zabe -- I have never met anyone with the drive to be as social as you are. I must forever live vicariously through you. Sounds like you had a wonderful Christmas!! MISS YOU!!!!!
Olympic year I hope you get to snag some tix for the Olympics. There is nothing cooler than the Olympics, I am totally obsessed w/ them. I really get into the summer vs. winter olympics. When I was in Atlanta in '96 it was really neat meeting people from all over the world. The city will change dramatically, hopefully they will stop killing all the poor stray animals, but damage has already been done. GgGgggrrr China!
Holiday cheer It was great talking to you on New Year's!! I am sooooooo glad you called! I can't believe all the going out you guys do, crazy! Sounds like fun though, hope you have a great year.
are you out there? Hey- where's all the blog entries? How am I supposed to live vicariously thru you if I can't read about China through your eyes? hhhmmmmm...........
WOW! Sounds like you had a totally fabulous time on your vacation. I am surprised that you didn't take the harness ride down from the Great Wall knowing how you love roller coasters. Next time? Where is the next adventure?
Luv Ya

good stuff Beth, glad you had a good time in Beijing! I can see you are getting more used to the China way of traveling on a dime. Keep up the great writing and keep everyone informed!
keep off the grass I am very much enjoying reading your experiences! I can't drink the flowers here, because they spray them with chemicals to make them 'prettier'. :(
I am fascinated by their love of beautiful things in nature.
Miss You Zabe!!!!!

yeah, well, after a year of government-controlled tv, having real cable tv is a refreshing change of pace!
