enjoying life Hey you guys...you are looking like you are totally enjoying your travels! how wonderful that you can experience all of this! Ottawa will seem so staid and boring after your adventures! Can't wait to hear the stories!! Keep smiling and being spontaneous!
Freak me green and call me croc! That thing....that HUGE thing you're photographed next to was once a LIVE thing? All of a sudden, Jaws doesn't seem as scary anymore!
Cool blogs, darling - I'm glad I signed up! Will be looking for more updates of the Intrepid Journey Down Undah!
Wôw ! What a pleasure to read your adventures! Thank you for sharing all that. I love your blog, friends. I just like being in Australia with you. Hugs ! Kisses xxxx Aunt Jeanne
Feel like I just went camping! Hey, Elaine and JJ -
Great description of the whole tour - except I ended up checking my own shoes for scorpions as i walked to get the morning paper, I felt so akin to your camping trauma! Very good checklist - will take that with me the next time we go camping and have only the local coyotes to fear, not the dingos, crocks or snakes! Thank you for this morning etude on this Ides of March, when it feels as if we could be in Aussie, with our longest, early warm spell since 1910! Keep it coming, hear? And stay vigilant and SAFE.
Yay a blog! Bruce sent me the link, now I can stalk you from afar! Hope all is well! I lived with mini-Canadian variety cockroaches for a year in an Ottawa apt. All that kept me from losing my mind was that they were too small to have wings... uugghh.
Galah This the type of bird that shredded my hand in an aviary in Perth. It was all friendly and then just started shredding my hand! It didn't like women, the people in the first aid center said. Yeah? Well post that information at the gate!!!! I'm really enjoying the blog!
Oh Deejelaine I remember our trips and your fascination with all the bugs and birds and fishees and wild creatures. Remember the deathwatch of one such insect ending in a spectacular funeral procession to the rocky beach at Isle de St Anne (je crois) outside Qc city. You wonderful, weird, witchy woman. I miss you! Love the photos... xox Horak
I'll add one more to your list... Hey Elaine! Another great Aussie-ism is "cackle-berry", for eggs! I so miss riding my pushie around that country.... So funny that you mention MJ, because me and Lisa were discussing your love for him just yesterday! We will definitely miss you at the staff party, but you are in a far better place than us... have a great Xmas, love to Majeed. Sarah
new langie sooo, you're learning a new language! you'll come back with yet one more langie under your belt!
It seems all you have to do is shorten the word and you've got it!
So merry chrissie, mates! missie you!! xo
i remember that Woolies! Ah yes, would always get our groceries at that Woolworths! Don't forget to get 1/2 price seafood on Saturdays mornings, before they shut down for the weekend... Sigh, wish I was there with you! Xxoo
