p.s. And the story of his perserverance is an inspiration--he went to many, many restaurants before he got his first "yes" on buying his recipe. He just never gave up!
Love it! Ah, how I miss KFC in these days of Celiac disease! But I can still remember the sweet, greasy, crispy flavor....and of course the delicious, flaky biscuits. Love your writing, too--it was like I was there. Take care--it was so good to see you.
Love, Kirsta
Actually . . . Hey Rich! It looks like you have a new pleasure in your life! Congratulations! As for me, I'm actually already back in India. Oh, but the US was superb!
WOW! Hey Mike,
It's your old buddy, Patty, still in Washington state. MAN, you have really travelled! Karen Himmer has been contacting SAI alumni and let me know where your where-abouts. Sounds like you have had quite the life.....fantastic!
Write when you have a chance,
Patty
New resource Mike - thanks for sharing. This will be a new resource for Devin and I as we plan vacations. I think that first hand knowledge from friends is the best information. It was great seeing you this week. Have a great summer! Dianna
Truly Magnificent Yes, it fills me fully with pride when i hear about the beauty and glamour of sri lankan culture, traditions and the country...although i call myself a more modern sri lankan, this is an island so beautiful in it's nature, the people, the smiles, the fun, the spirit, the love, the togetherness...
hope you had loads of fun here and wish others can come and experience this wonderful land

Ladakh Mike, One of the buildings, (a monestary?) reminded me of one I saw in the mountains of Morocco. Loved the mountain stream and the night shots. Beautiful and serene. Where next? ej
Gratitude for inviting me along Mike,
I just want to express my gratitude for you inviting me along on your adventures. I'm so glad our paths crossed at WMS and I look forward to having them cross again. In the mean time, it's wonderful to be a voyeur to your colorful travels.
Namaste,
Kerri

school I loved reading about the kids all lined up in rows, learning the alphabet. I liked how you used the text and writing to tell your story, each complimenting the other. Thanks!
After a 25 year career teaching in the US, I'm overseas, teaching and taking advantage of every holiday to travel! I've hung my hat in AsuncĂon, Mumbai, Bucharest and Prague.
