Today was our visit to the Vatican Museum, the Sistine Chapel, and St. Peter's Basilica. Taking the bus from the hotel we arrived at the Vatican and joined the line of visitors waiting to enter. After getting into the Vatican we explored the grounds outside the museum until our time to enter the museum. The museum is lined with a large variety of artifacts and antiquity. Heading in that direction we first came upon Santa Maria Maggiore where mass has been said daily since the fifth century. After exploring the church we asked directions to the Colosseum and started in that direction. After walking for a considerable time we realized that ... read more
