What a read!!!!! Hi Eric - Well I read your first entry awhile ago and I finally sat down and read your blog from start to finish. I've been hearing from Harry all the news but hadn't read it myself. OMG!!!!! It's like an Indiana Jones movie...I was on the edge of my seat reading about the rafting. I can't believe what you've been up to! What an adventure...and so emotional, funny and scary at times. You have got to go into journalism. Hurry up and write about the Gorilla trek'! It's like waiting for the next Harry Potter book! I'm sure glad you've kept safe through all this. Everyone is well here...looking forward to seeing all the family next Sunday for Grump's 90th birthday celebration! We'll take some photos and post them on Har's facebook. Don't get homesick now - haha Take care Eric and happy, safe travels!! Love A Jayne :-)
another great blog! Hey Eric, following your trip and love the most recent blog. I know it was from some time ago now but wow what an adventure. Keep up the great work with the blogs, I know years from now you'll be glad you did! I wish I had when I travelled. Grumps is really impressed with them as well. We think about you all the time and are glad to see new postings on your facebook wall - though still seems a bit wierd to me to look at it. Watched the gorilla video too - those boys were a lot larger than I imagined. Take care - our love - A. Kel and U. Lar
great story Hi Eric,
I am at your mom and dads for dinner. The weather is great, your dad is outside at the barby.
Your mom and dad filled me in on your conversation of this morning. Sounds like you are having the time of your life.
You write very descriptively and your photos are great. I feel like I was there.
I look forward to seeing your next installment.
Stay safe,
Sue
Hi Eric...wow your trip sounds incredible so far! The pictures are like National Geographic. I can't believe you are actually there seeing these animals in their natural environment - it must feel surreal! I think we'll all be adding Africa to our future travel plans. Love your picture with John. That's so cool the cooks and guards speak English and you can talk with them. Glad everything is as exciting as you hoped it would be. Thanks for the great narrative...can't wait to hear what you're up to next. Keep safe and remember "Hapana fisi asiye na rafiki" (that's Swahili for "There is no hyena without a friend".) So keep laughing and have an awesome time! Love A Jayne
adventure found So here we sit in our little cabin and your blog has transported us around the world in 5 minutes. Thanks for taking the time to update this - yes - one day we'll be 'facebookers' but in the meantime i keep checking your blog to see any updates. Amazing photos Eric. Worth the trip to get there I'm sure! So do you and the Masai see eye to eye - as in height?? We wonder what's next - when you've just arrived - I'm sure there are many choices to make right now. You're a talented writer and we're looking forward to the next post! k and l
