Kodaikanal sometimes referred as the "princess of hill stations" is located in Tamil Nadu state.I have always loved India for its great natural and biological diversity. And to my love for nature kodaikanal is just a small gift.Lushgreen forests, beautiful hills, soothing climate, romantic lake and lots more to see and feel is a must for all tourist and adding to that you get something extra "the lovely mist".
The mist here is just amazing! No matter what the time it is,you can expect it at any time.Suddenly it would come and suuround the entire area making you feel whether you are in land or somewhere near the sky.And small droplets of water just getting sprayed feeling you really fresh.I remember i was walking down Byrant park with my hubby when everything was so clear,it was 12:30 PM afternoon, and suddenly the clouds came down surrounding the entire park,it was really fantastic.

My most favourite destinations were Berijam Lake and Dolphin's Nose.
Berijam Lake - It's a lake in the middle of lush green forest within the mountains.Trekking down in a bus you would see lots of interesting places on route.Silent valley is one such destination. The area is so silent and calm you could only hear the voice of chirping crickets and other insects.I felt like i am in the middle of deep forests surrounded by valleys.Little ahead you can see the view point of Berijam Lake. This point is so high that you can feel the chillness.I was not carrying any warm cloth as the weather was just awesome, but here i felt like shivering but still loved it.Finally reaching the lake it was really beautiful.
Dolphin's Nose - Fantastic place for the trekkers.Get ready with your trekking dress and shoes before coming here and also with some energy drinks. We came with some local tour guides who would tell us the significance of different rocks and points.Near the dolphin's nose there were lots of people standing to take pics, but make sure you step proprely, because one wrong step can let you straight into the valley of death. Here also we couldn't see the valley as it was surrounded with clouds and fogs. The returning trek was really energetic as we have to climb up,still enjoyed the adventure.

Some times its difficult to pen down all memories but yet they stay with you.One such was when we were on our way to mannavanur lake we saw some locals harvesting carrots. It looked fresh and the colour was vibrant like orange, our driver took few for us,we tasted it was so sweet it tasted better than an apple. So friends don't forget to taste the carrots.
