your blog about Holland Dear Dorian,
I have read your travelblog about your visit to Holland and it was very interesting! I am Dutch myself and for my Geography Masterthesis I am doing research among tourist bloggers from abroad. Your blog caught my eye because you visited some less famous places in Holland, like Amersfoort. It is so interesting to find out why a part of the tourists in Holland visit those less famous places next to the highlights like Amsterdam and its surroundings.
That's why I am wondering if I could ask you some questions about your visit, to complement the info in your blog. It won't be a long survey, but more of a short interview-type conversation about your experience and opinion. You would help me a lot and I am also very curious to know about what you think about Holland and the reasons why you choose to visit it.
I really hope to hear from you. The interview will be used in a completely anonymous and confidential way.
Kind regards,

I really enjoyed your post about Orszyce, and the photos make it look beautiful! I've been thinking about lesser known areas of Poland to feature as a "destination of the week" on my community blog, but I haven't quite decided yet. If you have any suggestions I would greatly appreciate it, as we post the info to share with fellow travelers around the world. We're also looking for travel reviews, photos, etc. If you have the time, check it out at dirty-hippies.blogspot.com, or email us at dirtyhippiesblog@gmail.com. Continued fun on your travels!

Good for you girls Hi Yocker, I'm not a girl, that's my wife and her sister in the pic! Anyway, hello to you and Reda. I think it got to -28C in Bialystok after we left. I since found out that Polish Railways did cock up with some heavy snow in Silesia, and that the railways in Britain (some exceptions and Eurostar definitely excepted) dealt with snow and ice reasonably well. The ducks in Bialystok may have benefited from some warm water outflow in the Bialka stream.

More to Nevis than meets the eye I too have climbed the trail to the source and the mossy steps are just one of the fun parts of the climb. Its too bad you only had the one day. We anchored off Charleston for over 3 weeks and enjoyed every minute of every day. Nevis is a magic place. Discovering old plantation ruins in the rainforest was a never ending pleasure as you delved into the history to find out that one owner actually had camels on Nevis and his camel barn is still mostly intact except for the roof. But it certainly answers the question as to what those strange iron baskets were hanging from the wall. The ability of the local people to accept visitors and strangers into their lives never failed to impress and on our moto tour of the island, we met lots of people who just plain felt like life long friends and the casual conversations we had were interesting and meaningful
Nevis will always be one of our favourite islands.
Huensruck The Huensruck is where the TV saga Heimat was filmed. It is a wild and wonderful place with many unspoilt villages. The area is now being sullied by the development of the former U.S. military base (Fliegerhorst Hahn) as an airport for budget airlines. A motorway is also planned (ugh!!).
