At least your plane didnt turn on its side at the airport and you didnt have a visa because you had to divert to another airport! Yesss this happened to me ....

goodbye Bangkok & Hello Frankfurt Germany Poor thing what a start to this leg of the trip hope it gets better from here and that you can enjoy it as I know you have earned this trip and I am so sorry it has gone belly up but I will pray it improves
OMG! Oh Di, I can't get over it! I had to read and then re-read to make sure I had read it right! What a horrible thing to have happen at the end of a wonderful time in Asia. Is there any way you can contact someone from Star Alliance over there and get it sorted before it gets too far? Shame you missed out on Germany, with any luck the UK will be better. Fingers crossed! Don't let those idiots spoil the remainder of your wonderful trip, and remember the good parts you have already enjoyed. lots of love, Barb
Wish you were with me too Kath, but things happen for a reason and perhaps this trip is so that I can "test the waters" so that the trip we eventually take togethere will be bigger, better and more special. Hopefully we will have a reason to celebrate with James health improving after the transplant.
Love you and miss you too, hang in there. Our guardian angels are watching !!
green with envy Hi Di, So glad you are now living your dream and sounds like it is not a night mare after all being there alone, you make me feel like I am with you in your travels, so look forward to a big long yack when you return to "the real world" love ya and miss ya Shaz
amazing photos! Hi Di!! What amazing photos! I love that one of the tram tracks, though I am sure I would have had kittens getting up there LOL... The view was great still though wasn't it. The statue amazed me also... what was it for specifically? Have fun.. keep resisiting the tourist sellers and hunt for one of the real good markets. Lots of love, Barb

Ama We're glad to hear you’re having such a nice time Ama, but we miss you heaps! Kayla went to work with Erin today and has been busy telling everyone she could find that ' my Ama is in Hong Kong' ;) (it’s all that training you did before you left). Can't wait to hear from you again, we will give you a call on Thursday if that works with your schedule. We love you lots and lots, and we're thinking of you. Love from Erin, Joel, Kayla and the baby. xxx
Hi Di, I am so envious. You are really the single woman and enjoying the challenges of travelling alone. I am proud of you my sis as i'm not sure I would have tackled as much as you are in your trip. It is an adventure of a lifetime and I think of you all the time. That Korean man must've fancied you and took an opportunity - you should do the same when the moment presents itself. You go girl!! I love reading your news and I wish I could've come with you. I hope you enjoy Hongers as it is different and interesting too. Anyway, better get ready for work. Love ya Jillx
Hello everyone,
This travelogue will allow me to share my experiences with you all.
Wow !! I can't believe that very soon I will be in the hustle and bustle of Bangkok.
I am a little sad because my sister Kath won't be travelling with me as planned, as my much loved nephew is not well enough for her to leave him.
Most of you will know that James requires a heart/lung transplant. I continue to ask my guardian angels to watch over and protect James as well as all of my family.
I still wish that I could share the time with Kath, as she could really do with th... full info
