Barcelona Thank you for taking us along! Really enjoyed your account of this delightful city. So nice you had time with Duane and Derek. You are getting some great "family" time. Hope Trevor is better for Nice.
updates HI.....soooooo much fun to read your entries Rhonda. I am exhausted reading it....can't imagine all the walking. How is your leg holding up? I'll stick to my spelling thanks:) Love the photos and love the detailed descriptions....keep them coming!! We leave for a guest ranch in Clinton tomorrow ( horseback riding for Cass...fishing for Callie!!)for a few days, then on to PG for convention. Please say Hi to Derek and Duane from us.
Jenn xoxo
Leg is holding up well. Ball of my foot is the problem! A bit of swelling but I know we are NOT drinking enough water. Have fun on the annual trek to PG! We are seeing the boys tomorrow so will pass on your greeting.
Oh my! Sure is a good thing you are young! I'm thinking if we do Europe, we'd better do a tour. I just about had a panic attack reading your blog and I don't think I've ever had one:). You are a good writer. Or instead of the tour I just may live vicariously thru yours. It's great! Enjoy Paris!
Trick is definitely to stay calm, breathe and relax! We are having a blast. Most walking I have done in years. So glad I walked every day on the treadmill for the last 5 months though.
Still on about control freaks For 800 years the English controlled us, then for about 80 years it was the Catholic Church, latterly for a short period we had no control so we went mad,, we borrowed and spent like we were on drugs, we went to our banks for a loan to build a hen house, they said how much can we give you, here 10 million, we bought houses all over the world, Outer Mongolia, even Canada, if it was on a glossy brochure we bought it.. Now we're bust with hardly a pot to pee in,, but we're now under the control of the Germans, the IMF, the EU and abcd..z but maybe that's the way it should because it seems we can't even control ourselves,
I wouldn't put us in control of a HEN HOUSE!!
From a disgruntled "control freak" Hedges; who knows what control is lost behind our hedges, maybe we dance naked in the soft Irish rain, howl at the moon, who knows,,
Thanks Kandi! We are pretty excited. Looks like you had some not so nice excitement with Trevor. Reminded me of our accident in CA. Hugs to all of you and hope his friends that are still in hospital start to respond and get better.

Freaks Ah sure. No bother. But please be careful what you say about the French. If they find out you are married to an non-control freak Irish man we could lose our EU membership
trip we are really enjoying the details and the description. Keep it up. Glad that the weather seems to be smiling on you. Hope your Irish impressions are not judgements but observations (dad!!!!) Love, dad and mom
Gordon Shannon. Jack & Winnie Shannon's son. They lived up in Sorrento so Hector & Maryanne would know them. His wife Donna was good friends with Janice Pierce when they lived in Chicago.
Knew I was going to get some flack from the Irish contingent. My Irishman is more Canadian than Irish so has much less control freakish behavior!!! I'm the problem in our house :) Thanks again for the wonderful dinner and evening.
grandparents in waiting Congratulations on your grandson-to-be. Lovely day here on the West Coast. Actually a bit too hot for this old sidewinder. Had an outdoor Canada Day brunch at Doug and Loretta's---a big crowd in honour of Trevor and Carissa's visit but I sat in the more comfortable atmosphere of the air-conditioned house. Sure enjoying keeping up with your travels. Just waiting for our "troops" to explode the front door off its hinges any minute!
So envious!! I must say of all my dreams....Ireland was it!! I've just loved all you shared.!!
Some of the folks in Spokane took a trip to Ireland, and I just cdn't hear enough.
After caretaking, mom and dad...it was going to be my trip...instead toured the US
visiting relatives and friends when through working....so it is special to hear more! and more!! Thanks!
Enjoy, enjoy, and on you go...just beautiful, and so special for Trevor to see his relatives!
Well this old pair was tired of the young whipper snappers doing all the traveling so we decided it was our turn. This trip has been in the planning stages (very loose description for the imagination stage) for about a year. We plan to have the time of our lives not only with family but with strangers along the way... full info
