Thank you Dylan,
What you write never fails to captivate me. Thank you for taking the time to share what you are experiencing. It enriches everyone.

Good to read about your life!! Hey Dylan - Loved reading about your New Zealand days, glad to hear you're feeling better! Fun Blazer games with Anja last week, this week with your mom! They're playing some ball!! Thinking of you, cheering along with us, though that all probably seems so far away for you these days! I can sense your appreciation for the beautiful landscape, the gracious people, enjoying the moment! So proud of you & with admiration for all that you are experiencing & how you are "soaking it in", love Ev & Scott
love it all! hey dyl! just a quick note to say thanks for writing all this and sharing your experience with us :) hope you're having the best time ever (sounds like you are!) and can't wait to hear all about it in person. be safe and i love you, cuz. ~amy
We feel enriched! Dear Dylan - Relished reading your experiences & your enthusiasm, your moment-to-moment savoring of life in Fiji comes through so strongly in your blog! Thanks for sharing the details of your life in Fiji & I can sense the sadness you & your host family felt with your departure. They & you have many memories to look back upon for years to come. Went skiing up on Hood yesterday & thought back to all your racing on Stadium! Snow was excellent! Heather Canyon was calling your name! With a big hug & love - Ev & Scott
Tears in my eyes Dylan,
You described the experience of connecting with others so sensitively. The going away at the end left tears in my eyes. I believe that your open, caring attitude must have come through to everyone you met. For that, they will never forget you. Did you keep a journal of your own in addition to blogging? Be well, and keep on writing.
Love,
Tom and Sheri
Sat AM bog read - Dear Dylan - Perl and I just read your blog and marvel at the clarity of how your words deliver the experience to others. I am so grateful you have taken the time to re-imerse yourself in service far away from the US, and allow yourself to steep in a new culture without judgement.
You are a human "tea bag" who genuinely takes on and shares the moment and environment: and I can feel echos of our own journeys and
times past in Africa and Norway seeping back out of my mind's vault ... pushing for more room in the present. So I love your idea of a family trip and can't wait to hear more, see pics, and sit in the back yard in May. All our love ... "To know someone here or there, with whom there is an
understanding in spite of distances or thoughts unexpressed, that can make of this world a garden." W von Goethe -
SO glad you are having fun! Fiji sounds incredible, family trip? I think so. Hope you have as much fun in New Zealand as you did in Fiji! Can't wait to talk to you on the phone to hear more!
checkin in - Dee - cool to hear your first days are great and sharpening your vision for the trip. I've enjoyed the C.D. emails and info for parents and can only
guess how much fun it is to be in a completely new culture and crew! Please email back your Common App username, password etc so mom and Kathryn can resubmit. It needs to be done by 2-28 and Kathryn will help her. Somehow it is all just sitting there not having gone onto
UPS etc even though Kathryn and Carolyn can see it completed in cyberspace. Don't fret, they've had others in the same situation, just need to do it by 2-28. The bizzels say hey, its a nice clear long weekend here, and I'llprobably sail with the Stel Biz while mom and QF go barn brawling!
Peace out, Perl comes down next weekend, and savor every moment while they flash by on the trip of a lifetime - Luv to ya, Dad
You are amazing! Dylan,
This is so exciting reading about your adventures...I look forward to reading all your entries and eating crab with you next year in Seattle!
Love you bunches!
Diane

Loving you especially hard today on VD!! Ev & Scott
You are off on the journey of a lifetime, and you deserve it along with all the wonders and adventures that await. It would be cool if you could upload pics, but I guess you can do that on FB also. This blog will be fun to keep up with your travels, the group is lucky to have your energy, heart, and curiosity! "Out beyond right and wrong there is a field, I'll meet you there" Rumi
