Lake Palace I'm impressed that you had water in the lake in Udaipur! It was dry as a bone when I went. I walked out to the Palace.
Sounds like you are having an amazing time.
The beers of destiny So disappointed you didn't see the Elephants of destiny, but worry not young travellers, for there will be beers of destiny here in Vancouver! I'm excited for you guys, cuz Ankor Watt is one of my favourite places in the world! Get there in the morning to get some pics of the sunrise over the main temple. Eat some kick @ss pad thai in Bangkok for me, and have a happy happy Birthday Deano!
Fun fun fun! Hey guys, it still looks like you're having an awesome time. I'm not sure that veggie sandwich would have been all that appealing even to a pure veggiehead! It looked like it was a tomato and sprout sandwich! Goa sounds great!
yummy food and cooking classes sound yummy! Ya get Dean on that cooking thing......he's next on the list to cook Xmas dinner. Love your stories, missing you. Happy safe travels from sis and the boys
I would have taken the elephant :) Do you have a recipe for this "special" lassie? I am intrigued! You have to admit the tomato sandwich is quite beautiful.
Get fat! Keep eating the sweet stuff, and get fat, just like me and Pen! Then we can keep up with you guys on trails! Hope the rest of the trip is a bit more chilled out!
Awesome!!!!! Wow guys, sounds like a phenomenal trek! We peaked at 4200m roughly, I can't imagine what the next 2000m would have been like, but I'd love to try it eventually! Can't wait to hear more about it over a few beer and piccies!
Hi Steph Don't worry, the first time we took Dean's nephew Zach hiking he cried the whole time, and he still looked cute in his snowsuit. I think he was cold. I am so glad the captions worked. We are in Bikineer (Rhajastan) now and tomorrow we head to Jaipur.
I miss you too. I really enjoyed Still Alice. You can tell the gals I am into book 3 of Twilight :)
Cath
AMAZING!! Love the pics and the story! You guys are troopers! Can't wait to see all the pics. Missing you lots. So, with being together 24/7 is there still a wedding in June? I know there will be, I just remember how tough it was travelling with someone in harsh conditions can take it's toll. Take care and safe travels!! oh, Ewan is crying gotta go! He misses you too!
Awesome write-up Cath...and fantastic pictures!!!! Yum...yak cheese...what does it taste like? We have snow here...local mountains have all opened early this w/e. We went up to Seymour this morning to get Rowan on skis...he told us "I don't like it..."...not a good start but we will try again!
Take care...
Steph
Great Experience Welcome back Dean and Cath! Sounds like a great adventure, can't wait to hear more stories! I am off to Spian and Morocco for my holiday, join you next time!!
Cheers, Lannie
Absolutely fantastic! Hi Cath and Dean, Great to hear from you and it sounds like you have had an incredible experience, but that is what the trip was all about. I guess that you have to take the highs with the lows and 2 days with stomach viruses and altitude sickness certainly sounds far from pleasant. The pictures are fantastic and I see that you have worked out the depth of field to get some background blur.
Look forward to catching up with you both when you are back and hearing the stories and seeing more photos! Yes there is some snow around, Whistler opened a week ago, not many runs open, but there are a lot of people getting out into the backcountry and having a wicked time.
Enjoy India and safe travels.
Way to persevere Awesome update! I know lots of us have been waiting to hear news and how that part of the trip went. Sounds like a tough go - but you have captured some great pics and secured some good memories! Lots of snow on the mtns - and even more rain in the city! ugh. Soak in any sun you can get!

We miss you!! Hope you're really on the bus back to Kathmandu today :) and that you had a great time. Can't wait to hear about it - we miss you!!!
XOXO

What's happening! Hey guys, according to your rough schedule you should be getting close to finishing today! Hope everything went well! Pen and I are moved into Dean's old place now...we live here! Come over for a beer when you're done travelling ;o)
Phaw, 20000? We hit 14000 on the Inca trail...the altitude defo kicked in for us, can't wait to hear how it all goes for you....hopefully you get good weather...good luck guys!!
Awesome Pics Hey guys so jealous we're not there!! The pics are cool, espesh the one with the ancient toker dude! We're on our way to the Galapagos today, 26 hour bus ride, then a boat for a week...no idea when we'll get internet again, but keep the blog going can't wait to read the next entry...sounds like an awesome trip!!
