Thailand can mean a lot of things to a lot of people, some want the hustle and bustle of Bangkok, some the neon lights of Phuket. I wanted white sand beaches, with a laid back way of life, which is exactly what they have here. Railay is a little beach seperated into three parts for the backpackers, climbers and honeymooners and appeared to be a little Thai rasta community completely cut off from the rest of Thailand. The only way in or out is by longtail boat. The people were the friendliest i have met so far, no pretense like you can find in other places when on your travels. We found a cool bar and got stuck into some Mai Thai cocktails with some added local whisky/tequila combination from what i could gather and played
