Spring is coming! Still are enjoying your travels even if I'm remiss in commenting very often. Your photos are really great. Darrel is definately good for perspective. The Cadbury tour made me crave alittle chocolate and guess who wishes he were with you at the beer factory or whatever it was called. This is definately your incredible journey, keep on smelling the roses!
Hello Globe Trotters Have been tracking you since you left Canada. What an adventure! We've learned alot from your experiences and have passed your blog address on to our son who will be making a similar trip in the fall. "Women with Wings" spent 3 very busy weeks in Cambodia and Vietnam. Got home on March 14th. Still lots of snow in Kitimat, sure home that it is gone before you get home. Enjoy, travel safe! Cheers! Weather is great Arrived save and sound in Noosa , had a couple days with the odd shower ,however the last 3 days have been sunnny the whole day , they are having the state life guard championships here on the beach , quite something to watch . The beaches are by far the best that I have ever seen in our travels .... Having a great time , hope you are enjoying sydney .

Snow!!! I guess our 100cm of snow seems like we are at the other end of the world oh yeah I guess we are. We are in a winter wonderland at the moment and it truly is gorgeous, its the reason we love it here but I expect it will rain soon and I'll once again be dreaming of sunshine. Tims busy with budget and I try to keep out of trouble. Happy belated birthday Janise I was talkin about you on your day were yours ears burning. Coast Road - wow! What a spectacular trip you are having. I really love the pics of the coast road and area (and of course, the koalas!). Have loved reading your blogs and seeing the pics. We are off to South Africa for 2 weeks and then England+Guernsey soon, and your blogs have got me so enthused about traveling! Good luck with the weather problems down under. Stay safe and hope you continue to have fun! And remember, here at home we've been in that cycle of great mounds of snow, freezing rain, pouring rain, mounds and mounds of snow again... Doesn't your trip sound like so much more fun?!
Pics of Australia Hello you two, yay we finally have a day off today, Feb 7/11 we had no power all night and so the schools were chilly so they kept them closed, also got another 2 and half feet of snow yesterday and overnight.. Of course today is beautiful.. sun is out blue skies and +2 I think it is.. back to work tomorrow our retreat and the kids are going skiing wed.. Janise I love your pics, and I SO LOVE YOUR NEW HAIR DO.. I bet it feels good too hey in the 40 degrees.. I'm about to show Torey your pics and have to get Tacos on the go.. you keep those updates coming and you are both looking great... miss you so much Sue big hugs to ya...
Memories Yes your journey is bringing back so many memories. We remember Mt. Gambier very well and spent a fair bit of time in that area. Very beautiful. Meltdowns !! They are a necessary part of an epic journey. Famous words by DAG Hammarskjold_ How long the road is, But, for all the time the journeu has already taken, How you have needed every second of it in order to learn what the road passes by. I have good friends in Margaret River - too bad, if I'd started reading the blog sooner I'd have put you on to them as they're great guides! Sooooo! Beautiful. Just home from Derek's had an amazing time with all. Babies are alot of work but worth all the effort. Your photography of the beaches in WA are incredible. You are definately experiencing Aussies raw beauty. Love sharing your journey and especially now your in Aust. i'm getting itchy feet. Keep taking snake pics Tim loves them. Be careful and keep having fun!
Terry and I are on our way back to Kitimat. Our 2 weeks in Edmonton went fast, we did renos for Catherine and Brian in their new home.
We are now looking for a little rest. James and Cass are doing well. Our flight from Vanc is leaving @ 1235 to Terrace. We are going to Tom and Amanda's for supper which will be very nice. All the best, Gloria

Hi from Kitimat Just finished reading your blog - what an amazing trip you are on!! Glad to hear you are both safe and sound and that you seem to be having a great time.
Once Christmas is over we will start packing for our own adventure...not quite as adventurous as yours but still a long way from home. Ken Ruehland showed me how to access your blog today and in the meantime he is setting one up for himself with us included.
I can see valu in the blog as you are writing your journal as well as keeping everyone up to date.
Louis's last day of work tomorrow. Having a surprise party about 50 people!! He seems a little anxious as he seems to feel that he needs to have the retirement thing figured out!
I hope we are able to see the both of you around Newcastle. In January keep in touch just in case we can make contact in Australia

Very Relaxing I'd say.... So us staff except for Elaine and Sandy had a xmas get together at Sheilas on Friday night, we all bought a dish, from appys to soup to salad to the main course and dessert and the wine was flowing way to freely.. and Sue suffered till about 4:00 yesterday.. Sandy and I went out to the village to Marni's Dads memorial... and then today Janise it snowed so much.. all darn day.... I iwll have to keep looking at your pics to remind me there is a place with no snow... now of course it is raining... at 8:20,,, I'm not even ready in the least for Xmas.. but do well under pressure.. last Monday I had the cataract removed and the new lens put in yes the same eye.. I took some time off work.. so now we only have 5 days left and two weeks off. tomorrow Carrie and I are taking a load of glazed ware to the riverlodge so the kids can have their projects done for then... we have the brand new kiln which John says needs a floor under it and walls around it in the CDC storage room yay no more up and down stairs.. the old kiln is gone.. and yes Janise you can have a drink for Carrie and I ok cause I think maybe every three days we say aaargh.. Janise wouldn't like that or where is Janise when we need her hahahah and you must be laughing to yourself thinking Suckers... enjoy yourselves lol... but seriously have a good trip and enjoy your time k...Sue
Siem Riep Hi Janise and Darryl, so happy to have finally heard another update from you both.. wow looks like this leg of the trip was so pretty.. enjoy your week in your little retreat.. we have a bit of snow here, and it has warmed up supposed to be sunny this weekend so we shall see..those floating villages are something else now aren't they.. you sound like you are having a great time... we are going to put up our tree today and Mike is after me to get xmas cards out so ya thats what we are up to lol.. I'm off again next week having cataract surgery on the same eye I had the other surgery :( oh well be great to see again.. you both take care and will tty soon... xo Sue
