Fine place! Yeah - liked your account of the Techno thing.
Belgium is a great place. People who knock it have generally never been - just 'cos it sounds like bilge, belch and bulge...!
I lived and worked there for six years, and had a great time. The Flems are great and crazy, and speak remarkably good English. So many fine cities, and great architecture - Brussels, Gent, Brugge (Flemish spelings!), Leuven... - do go there - great university city, full of peddled bikes, good shops, and the home of Stella beer!
Good cafes, good beer, and great coffee everywhere in Belge - love that cafe society...!
hi!! Hi there...!
i've been looking for some journals about croatia and I found yours...although it was posted long ago I'll, obviously comment it now.. :)
I'm glad you loved croatia, the sightseeing you did, and the night life... It was great reading your journal...I'm from Croatia..from Split! so..I'm veeery proud at the moment... :) I hope you're having a good time, where ever you are!
bok! (maybe you remember the word- it means bye!) ;)
Hi. Read your Tirana piece with interest. I spent some time there a couple of years ago. Afew things: teh car washes are probably mostly gone now; a lot of businessmen fell into fracnchise scams (very, very unsophisticated at business, if you remember in the early 90s the entire economy was a pyramid scheme. that collapsed)
The mercs are all stolen elsewhere in Europe and Russia. They're cheap, but the downside is you can't drive them outside of Albania!
Snake shots and no more smoking? Wow. Looked like a great trip!! I really need to organize a Southeast Asia trip as well after my Australasia trip. Can't believe you drank that Snake Shot!!! Ewwwww. And you're quitting smoking when you get to Melbourne. Good job!! See you in April!!
Party Accessories lol Dude, that was awsome to read !
I was there in 2005, and I can relate to all you said on Belgrade! Spent six weeks there with the family, got on the smash everyday, very messy. Loved it.
Regards.

Hey again, just finished reading all the blogs and am now totally up to date. I agree with you about choc milk etc. i was completely annoyed by how hard it was to get flavoured milk ANYwhere in Europe (well at least the major western european cities i went to). Over here i've been using strawberry milk as a good hangover cure, can't do it over there. Why is it you don't want to go to France? It's nice, especially when you speak the language. I had the same problem with cameras in the red light district, i got shouted at. Funny how annoyed they get when you consider what they do for a living.
They had a silent disco at Big Day Out last year, it was awesome fun, 2 stations to flick between so you didn't know what the other people were listening too, even by looking at their dance moves it was difficult. I was on Prodigy they were on Cure but it all seemed the same.
wait'a'go with the pez dispenser, a while ago i was thinkin' of firing up my old one again, you know the one i did the transplant on. trouble is finding the refills here in perth is hard.
"It really ruined the day. " - hahaheh
I'm finally getting around to reading these all now as it's friday and i got off work early, yes that's right, work, remember that?
I think i'm in for an entertaining read. Good thing you stopped your fall with your forehead though, could have been your teeth and that woulda really fucked your trip up hey? Good to know you're okay.
i love techno :((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((
ha, that is the same hostel we stayed in. i think it's the only hostel in brussels from memory. never going back to that city!
