two weeks to go Hi Danni, You must be feeling a bit Italianed-out at this point. I will make sure not to prepare an Italian meal when you get home :)! I have not been to Milan or Verona so can't truly be of good advice on the best places to visit so hope you end up making the best choice of where to spend your time. Sorry to hear you are not well, hard to enjoy carrying a heavy pack and walking around if you are sporting a cold. Hope you are over it now and feeling better.
Love M:)M
Tuscan Villa's YES! San Gimignan is exactly where we think we might take a villa on our trip next year - it sounds just what we would have hoped for - thanks Danni! Take care Love T xx
Milano Hi Danni, you are getting to see a lot of Italy, good effort. The chinque Terra is a fun thing to do. There is a train that runs along that area and you can stop in various villages along the sea front. There might be a nice Hostel in that area. Check it out. I can't remember the names of the places we stopped at but there was one particular village built into the cliff overlooking the ocean and we had the nicest seafood at a restaurant there.
Milano I have never been to but I believe it is quite big and somewhat industrial. Not sure three days there will be worth it, but maybe there are lots of interesting architectural sites. I wonder whether some extra time on the Chinqua Terra might be more enjoyable. Or what about heading back to Rotterdam for a day to take in that Architecture Museum you never got the chance to visit. I remember when I travelled on my own in 73 that I got a bit tired of trapsing around on my own and got tired of all the churces and palazzo's after awhile.
Have fun and be safe. Love M:)M
Thinking of you Hi Danni, thinking of you as you finish off your time in Europe and the days slip away until you will finally be home on 22nd. Hope you are having a great time in Florence. Milan has a famous Opera House called La Scala (spelling?). It would be a real experience if you could get to see a performance there, though cost and availability could be an issue. Keep well and safe. Mom
Very happy It is sad to hear that Rome can be a dangerous place but then again crime knows no boundaries. However I am very happy that you are safe and didn't have any problems! I hope you enjoy Florence (and that the weather gets a little better for you), talk soon miss. xoxox
Jealous The beach and the esplanade look fantastic, so beautiful! And I'm sure after being 'landlocked' in Delft (so to speak) it would have been great to see the beach and feel the sand in your toes!
Barcelona sunshine! Danni - it must be so good to feel the sun on your face after all the winter weather you have had!! Enjoy every moment in Spain - enjoy the adventure! Travel safe love Trish xx
Chinese! I am glad to see that the Chinese tradition of ripping foreigners off transcends borders! I'm not worried about the security guard, I'm flattered; you should be too! Besides I could take him. Great reading miss, and I am loving the photos. Have fun in Barcelona, Timmy says the shopping is good! xoxo
What about frog's legs Hi Danni, Looking forward to the next edition. You are supposed to eat frog legs in France, not chicken legs :) Enjoy this exciting time. Love M
Good to hear Hey miss, glad to hear you got there and that the beds look comfy! I am looking forward to reading the next installment about the Louvre and all the exciting sites! Also, how is the French going? xoxox
Looking forward to it! Hey miss, I'm looking forward to reading about all your travels! It will be nice to be on the other end of the travelblog for a change! Take lots and lots of photos! Talk soon xox
I am at the end of a 6 month stint in the Netherlands where i have been studying part of my Architecture degree. I have three weeks to kill before heading to Malaysia for a week and then home to Oz. I plan to go to Paris, then Barcelona, then on to Rome and make my way up North to Milan. In Malaysia i will be spending a couple of days in K.L. then 5 days in Langkawi to hopefully do nothing but make the most of the sun and the beach.... full info
