looking up daniela, it's been a long while since we were at DSA together. you may not remember me, since i was one of the little ones who stood in your shadow...but reading your journal here just reminded me of how precious DSA minds are...it's so crazy...i feel like no matter who it is, if i encounter a DSA kid it throws me back to that profound time in my life where i felt i had the potential to gain a greater understanding of our world through art, through writing, through people. thank you for being one of those bright stars that leads me home when i feel like i am lost... i don't know for sure...but i really believe that there is a deeper connection between all of us DSA kids than that we simply share an alma mater...and you just reminded, or affirmed, that for me. so i thank you and i wish you peace and blessings in the new year. shalom!

Intense! Hi Danine, your life sounds very full and intense, and your exhaustion sounds like a happiness/fullness-exhaustion...there are so many things at every moment in your day, week, etc!!! So I wish for you a long deep peaceful sleep full of beautiful dreams, and a clear focused mind, more of your joyful heart during your waking hours...:)
Peace
Mari
You're AMAZING! Hi, girl, just wanted to remind you that this is a HUGE adventure. It cannot be compared to Thailand or Hampshire or any other amazing place, because it's an entire island of adventure. Your letters have been evolving, and I feel that even in your words I can sense you getting stronger. It's amazing. Please do keep writing us and reminding us to take risks and change our lives too, to take steps towards learning about other cultures, our own culture in everything we do. Much love, and lots of happy thoughts on this thanksgiving week.
Shalom Hi Daniella,
Once again you amaze me with your travel tales and interesting observations. Sounds like going to Israel was the right decision. We're all gearing up for Thanksgiving over here. Ari is coming to NY for a few days. Will you be doing anything for "turkey day" over there? I know you have alot of Americans around. Stay well and continue to enjoy.
Much love, Aunt Margie
your first book I am waiting for that first book on your travels to come out. I hope you will autograph it for me, and plan to do a fundraiser for the Harriett buhai Center for Family Law- "Meet the Author." Emily, Paul, Karen, Jake and I are all reading your blog.
Thanks for taking me around the world in 2 minutes. I could smell the smells and see the colors and I'm here in LA just about to go to the light store.

bamboo bugs and honey they taste kind of funny I want to be on that tour. You're making me want to jump on a plane and fly to some exotic place to eat bugs. Save some bad massage for me.
Ausomeness. Hey Daniella!!!
It's great to get your blogs. Are you writing much for yourself aside from the blog? It sounds like quite a time. I'm at Evergreen State college now, and loving it, even if a little lonely. I went and fell in love, and that was/ is indescribably wonderfull, and hellishly confusing and painfull, and now she's in London mixing drinks in night clubs to make pounds so she can acompany me to South America in January. At least that's the plan. weird. Not something either of us was looking for, but nothing that can be denied. se la vida....
Keep 'em comming,
with much love,
Michael

schools of fish As happy as I am with my school of young minds I'l love to be surrounded by fish too. I also really like the concept of diving as a meditation. I often use breath as a source of my meditation practice and will think of this. Thank you. SHANAH TOVA!
