not unique to australia Daniel- Bananas In Pajamas used to be a tv show here in the US. Jenna used to love it, she even had bananas in pajamas stuffed animals. not kidding, I even remember the song: "bananas in pajamas are coming down the stairs, bananas in pajamas are chasing teddy bears..." hahaha
oh and how bout that pic of your watermelon house?
RULE #76!! Rule #76 is a rule from college amongst me and my friends who are extremely competitive. "No Excuses". We try to live by it in all types of competition
Exciting! Hey Daniel,
Australia sounds like an exciting place to visit. I would love to be near a beach. It also must be exciting to have new adventures almost everyday. I look forward to hearing about them! Good luck and have fun!
nice pics Love the photos. also love the description of the tv show. Hows classes? public transportation is great, but you do have to keep an alert eye out. Funny how you grew up not having to use buses and trains, I was all over the city by 8 years old the buses, still love to travel through busy cities that way. love ya, paula
RE: Fine looking young man (Hiedi) Heidi, its so good to hear from you. To bad I have to go to Australia for you to stay in touch with me. How is home this summer and Kansas during the year? What kind of summer job did you have? Not, groschopp i assume. I am holding you to that offer for help in my political science class btw. How many years do you have left before you graduate? Anyway back to the hobo issue, I know that I looked well lets just say "interesting" some mornings at groschopp but lets keep in mind we had to be there at 7AM!! So give me a break. If you ever ran into me just out and about, I can assure you that you would have been pleasantly surprised and probably rather attracted haha ;). Anyway, i hope all is well
RE: Paula Hi Paula,
thanks for reading the blog. Haha I think that I would rather be non-dyslexic and just deal with looking both ways before I cross the street. Tomorrow I am going to Dee Why beach and there are some pretty good pictures of what it looks like on google images. Time here is I am day ahead although you are 9 hrs ahead of me. Like right now it is August 6 (7:30 pm) so in midwest it is August 5 (4:30 am). Rule #76 is a rule from college amongst me and my friends who are extremely competitive. "No Excuses". We try to live by it in all types of competition.
Hobo :)~ Daniel!! This blog is awesome! I was actually wondering about you a few weeks ago because I'm home now, but I remembered that you were heading to Australia.... Sounds like you are having a great starting experience that will continue to grow day after day! :) Yah political science..i'm proud of you for taking that class! No worries with that 3000 page paper...just don't wait till the last minute bud! haha. If you need help..i am a political science major ya know.
And the Hobo comment..couldnt' help but laugh...Daniel, you kinda look like a hobo-not gonna lie. Just messing! Walking just lets you take in the scenery that much more.
Can't wait to read more about your daily adventures. Remember: Take your camera everywhere!!
can't wait to see pics of the surfer dude I love your blog, keep it coming with pictures too. Too bad you're not dyslexic, the driving thing would be more natural, but I am sure you'll get used to it, and the toilet thing too. Not too sure about the watermellon house though. Hope you have someone film you surfing too, can't wait to see the ocean out there. What is the time difference, forward or back? I remember calling your dad in the middle of the night when they lived there, I don't think they appreciated that too much. Oh yea, so now I have to ask what the rule # 76 is? Keep having fun and adventures so we can all live vicariously through you! love ya, paula
RE: Mrs. Wickenhusien Sorry, it is hard to keep up with everyone. Especially when I get like 3 emails a day from mum/dad lol. Anyway shouldn't you be studying to be a physical therapist
RE: Sara sara dont worry, i would always pick you as my partner even if it was between you and the top ghanese womens badminton player. This is because we have great team chemistry and you have so much undiscovered potential (plus a good drop shot). Umm her tips were not to bother playing badminton if your american, because we are all bad at it. How is the partner search going, any good leads? I seem to remember ross being quite badminton player (plus he practically invented rule #76). Haha, the chat with your sister was good. We reviewed the movie nick and nora's playlist and wondered how you could not think it was not that good. pictures possibly up tonight. SAVE UP YOUR BABYSITTING MONEY!
RE: Going to the ABA Okay, so I was being a bad student this morning in my 400 student lecture and was reading the blog comments. Alec, when I saw the title of your comment I burst out in laughter. So umm thanks for that awkward moment in class. Okay, so it was definitely on my list of things to do to check the toilets. Only thing is the ones here are weird. All the ones I've remember to inspect flush sorta back to front. Like a bunch of water flows from the back and then everything just goes straight down. LAME, i know, i could not have been more disapointed. Don't worry though, i am now on the hunt for a swirling toilet. The steering wheels here are on the right. So wrong in so many ways. How is the golf game coming along, i hope it has picked up from rock bottom when i talked to you last week. Maybe you just need to play a few rounds at oneta in a month and everything will click lol. Wow, school for you in a month, summer went fast ay?
RE: Maria Thanks for sticking with it Maria. I think I finally figured out this comment thing. No kangaroos or wallabies yet even though I was in the National Park, but I have seen lotsa signs saying kangaroo crossing, next five miles. Haha, yes you would understand the sheltered thing, but sometimes its fun to act ignorant. I did join a rec soccer game once or twice a week, a water polo team, a tennis club, and a christian surfing group. haha, guess there is lorna to thank for that. Have fun at LUTHER COLLEGE in less than a month. Say hi to my friends for me
One request Two requests,
1. Please have someone film a game of hoops with these asian "ballas" and post online.
2. When you see a kangaroo, go up to an Australian and ask what is that. Then explain that you are an American and don't know better.
Have a swell time.
I read the whole thing I for sure read the whole blog because my one and only brother didn't even let me know that he was "alive" after being there for at least 3 or 4 days! Glad you're having fun though bro!
hey Daniel, You supply me the ticket and I'll be there before you can say Australia. Miss you already and enjoying the blog entries! Jealous of the hw for sure!!! What about your sr paper? I wanna see pics! Let me know when you want to skype
Sar
you would meet Ghana's top womens badminton player. Did you get any tips? Not that you'll be around for our next season of intramurals...but maybe you can pass them on to me.
Your blog is too much fun to read and I can't wait to read the next one, and see pictures, especially of your apartment. I'm also pretty jealous that you've already chatted with jenna. This just doesn't seem right. Let's set up a skype date soon.
Good luck with your chess match, good thing you're keeping rule #76 in mind.

Daniel Moss: ABA 23rd Draft Pick Danny, that was a great first blog! I really enjoyed reading it. You forgot to mention something that I have been wondering quite a while now... do the toilets flush backwards (clockwise)? They flush counter-clockwise here in case you were wondering, I just checked. That kinda sucks that you have to live in fear everyday whenever you drive somewhere... are the steering wheels on the right side of the cars also? These are just a few things you have to make note of in your next blog.
So when you play pick up with these "ballers" do you play with rule number 76 enforced? How is their defense, can they body you up like I could down in Regents? 18 points and 25 rebounds... with those numbers I wouldn't be surprised if ABA coaches get in contact with you looking for a new power center.
Later for now, I'm really happy to hear that you are having a great time down there.
